I don't doubt it MSD. I've been killing clays for quite a while (Got my first shotty at age 12, since thats when you can hunt small game... That would be the 870 youth) but not to long ago I got my first taste of 12 gauge 00 buck mags...

The first shot went off without a hitch, but since it was my neighbor who offered up the rounds, and we were just fucking around anyway, I was trying to kill a clay. Missed with the first round, and tried to pull off a quick second. I still dont know where I went wrong, but obviously I must of lifted the chin, let the butt go slack... Something. Sucked for about a week. Given myself some pretty good bruises when I was learning as well, but that was the worst.

Also can't count the number of poeple I know that had nice O shaped bruises around an eye from shooting a 12 with a scope in preperation for deer season up here (rifles arn't legal in my immediate area for big game).

Its not that heavy and it fires 9mm bullets apparently, so it shouldnt have too much of a kick. And it must be good quality, as it is made by the best gun company in the world.

I dont know much about guns, and have never fired one in my life either, but I would guess that the smaller the bullets, in theory the less hard the gun kicks, cos it would require less force to move them the same speed.

Dear god why are you giving firarms advice if you've never shot a gun? And to advise a Beagle as a carry/learner weapon? A person is asking a very serious and important question, last thing the OP needs is to be led astray by people jabbering on about things they have no clue about.

Contrary to popular belief, Counterstrike and John Woo movies are far from being a reliable source, and IMI (makers of the Jericho and Desert Eagle) are at best hit or miss when it comes to their handguns.

To the original poster, don't bother with the .22 handguns since they are not a very good way to learn due to their non-existant kick and retort, since you will have to relearn everything when moving up in calibre. Learn on a .38 or a .9mm at a range that offers safety and self defense courses. Later if you want to move up to something larger (not that you need to) you can. Also as far as self defense goes get a nice small revolver, something that requires almost zero maintainance and will always go bang when you want it to.

The most important thing is to not listen to people like Strange Famous since they get all their info from movies and games.
