Kel-tec?
I've been looking at a .32 kel-tec. I'm thinking about it for concealed carry... Where I work I have to wear a shirt, tie, and dress slacks. It makes it impossible for me to carry my springfield ultra -compact .45. I've been thinking about just carrying the keltec in my pocket. Anybody have any experience with them.
Thanks. LSD |

That would be the P11, my own CCW carry weapon. Check out this website for some good Kel-Tec info: http://www.ktog.org/index.htmlhttp:/...org/index.html

Oops, Lebell meant this link, I think: http://www.ktog.org/reviews-p32.htm
I'm happy with mine, it's incredibly concealable and if needed will get the job done if you can aim relatively well.

Actually, I meant the index.
That way he can check out the reviews for all the Kel Tec guns. I considered the .32 ACP but I decided the slightly larger size was worth the trade off for getting the more powerful 9mm.

Check out the Kel-Tec P3AT
It is almost identical to the P-32, but is chambered for .380. They are real popular right now and you will probably have to special order one, but I think it is probably worth it.

I have nothing but BAD experience weith the Keltec. The 32 is small but so vastly underpowered that I would be afraid to pull it out, If you need that small of pocket weapon then you can consider the North American Guardian 380.(http://www.naaminis.com/380.html) but even then you are at the minimum of energy in handgun ( and it will weigh more than a keltec .32) but it is much easier to shoot acurately.
I too wear a shirt and tie most of the time and carry a Karh p9 (http://www.kahr.com/front.html) also available as a smaller pm9 that holds 6 shots instead of seven. I can wear it in my front pocket of dress pants or I can wear it in a Galco split inside the waist holster where you can still tuck your shirt in over the grip ( the split is between the actual holster and the belt clip and is tiny bit showing under the belt is well with a cell phone.) The holster even allows me to carry a glock 26 with out anyone seeing the hint of a concealed weapon. the Kahr is available in .40 s&w as well but, If you shoot good loads 9mm is all you need. Anything else is to expensive to run lots of practice rounds through and I got some Corbon +p= 15oo fps ammo that has 400lb/ft of energy at 50 feet (thats .40 s&w power) The biggest issue in a concealed carry gun is can you get to it and can you hit what you are aiming at with enough accuracy to stop the attack. Having replied to more than you asked I still have had bad experience with the keltec's reliability (especially the the 9mm) and the hammerless design provides no safety, but the 12lb trigger pull pretty much means it's not going off on accident( sometimes even when you mean to) Do yourself the favor and spend the extra money on a Kahr or Glock 9MM even the Sig would be a great pocket gun. You may want to look for an Uncle Mikes pocket holster as well. stays in your pocket while the gun slides out easliy. Don't cut yourself short with the .32, if you hat your attacker 2-3 times in a non leathel area yo are surely gonna get hit with his bigger caliber ( else why would yo be pulling your weapon. As always go to the range and try out anything you can rent, borrow or what ever after all you ( and your family/friends) are worth it. Happy shooting.
