Apparently none of these guys are aware of what, exactly, constitutes a dust cover on an AK.

Pet peeve: Seeing ass clowns at the range (like these guys) rocking color coordinated BDU/tactical cargo pants, tac vests, and goddamned hats with desert colored American flags and little velcro patches for IR tape.

See, I don't mind. It lets me know who's an ass clown. Especially when it's a 250 pound lardo with a $3000 gaming rifle.

I'll comment on the videos when I get back from that place where an old man talks to a crowd of daydreamers for 3 hours.

The AK in the second video down is in .223 though, of course I am not sure what affect that would have on the gun, if any.

Cliffs: (Summary Overview: AR clones more reliable than AK clones when buried in sand)

First video show AR operating flawlessly after being buried in sand with dust cover open. Only malf occured when AR was buried then run over by truck.

Second video shows AK malfunctioning over and over again after being buried in sand with dust cover open.

Third video shows AK jamming with safety (or "dust cover" as some people call it) on. AR runs fine with dust cover closed. Jams with dust cover open (looks mag related to me, FWIW)

Fourth Video shows both AR and AK running well even after being buried in sand. (I think...)
