Is this thread about suicide, shooting ranges, what type of weapon would be best suited for such a venture, the advantages of owning vs renting, or good/bad timing?

lol, nice it doesn't seem to fit in the wep forum does it? I would really hope that someone would not be asking for advice on which gun would be best to do this with...

I wonder if there are studies out there showing the rate of suicide by gun is higher by people that own them... What about the people that own rope?

The first guy didn't want to mess up his house, yard or car::suave:
That's how they will remember ol'Bob. A very considerate guy, yep, good ol
Bob. Bet the second range goes out of business.

Why would the second range go out of business? They didn't do anything wrong, and unless an attorney can show that the clerk knew or should have known the guy was suicidal, it's going to be tough to get a jury to sympathize. Juries tend not to feel too kindly towards people who kill themselves in general.

My second gig in insurance was brokering a program for gun dealers including ranges. We had at least 5 suicides that I remember, and I'm positive that we never paid a dollar on any of them.

for the record, I say .45 acp is ideal for both self defense and suicide.
