Converting PAL DVD to NTSC
I've looked around but have not been able to find any clear cut guides to doing this, so I'm hoping I can find some help here.
I have two PAL DVDs which I would like to convert to NTSC so I can burn them and be able to watch them on my DVD player (currently my PS2 ). One is an ISO, the other is in the form of a folder containing both AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. (Side question: wtf is the AUDIO_TS folder for anyway? Every DVD I've seen with one has it completely empty - or so it seems at least.) Anyhow, I would like to convert both of these DVDs to NTSC and am grateful for any help I can get P.S. I have pretty much no experience in DVD stuff - I've never even ripped a DVD to DivX - so I'm a total n00b when it comes to all this.

Good luck on something that 'Just Works' (tm)! I have searched for this myself with no real good results. I have NOT tried anything I'm about to say, because 1) I am lazy and 2) I have a NetFlix account, I just queued the ISO's that I had that were PAL.
[Assumed as correct by reading it at a few different places] The best you will get is a movie without chapters or menus. You can mount the ISO with Daemon tools or Nero's ImageDrive (or whatever it's called) and rerip it with NeroVision express. Supposedly during the ripping process, it will convert it to whatever setting you give it. PAL->NTSC, NTSC->PAL. Then burn the newly ripped ISO. [/Assuming] If you attempt this and it works, please let us know how it turns out .

Look up DVD Shrinker, I believe there's an option somewhere that lets you pick which format of the video you want it to be in before burning it to a disc.
It'll accept the files you mentioned but I'm not sure about ISO. If it doesn't, use DAMEON to mount it and the rest is history.
