Outlook Web Access

I found this out in google groups, but it has not been answered and is the same problem I am having... Any idea on how to increase the block sender list on the exchange server to allow more than 100? It is strange that Outlook has its own junk email capabilities, but that web access is on its own...

Subject: Outlook Web Access junk email list size limit

I have a user who, when they right-click an unwanted message in outlook web
access and select "Add sender to blocked senders list", get the following
error message:

"An error occurred processing your e-mail lists. You are over the size
limit allowed on the server. Contact your server administrato."

Where is the size limit for the junk e-mail lists set on the server? We are
running exchange 2003.

I looked at the users blocked list in outlook web access and it is long.

I removed an email address from the list and was able to add another, but
then got the same error message when I tried to add a second address.

I also tried blocking the address in outlook and had no problems doing it
there.

I have looked at all size limit properties I know of in exchange manager and
no limits are set.

Thanks

Robyn

The limits are set by the Exchange server itself. Same thing applies to Rules. The set limit on rules is something like 4096 bytes I think. You will get the same error message when trying to add more than 30 or so rules.

It's hard-coded into the software. Don't know how to change it.

Only way to get around something like this is to add all the junk email addys to a group, then add the group to the block list. Doing it this way will work.
