quick question of importance, is the usb drive 1.1ver or usb 2.0?
At SP3, MS phased out support for pre 1.1 usb. It was buggy and was never really used as a standard until 1.3ver. I had issue with a portable drive using 1.0 that always had to be re-plugged in after each startup before it would show up. Many "pre 1.1" product exist from the begining of USB emergence that are just to buggy to support in modern standards. That's what one gets for being on the bleeding edge i guess. |
