Mousepad recommendations?
Hey
I'm sick and tired of my mouse getting dirty, and running into debris on the mouse surface when I use it... I have decided to get one of those nice "gaming" mouse pads... I wanted to know what was good or not... I wanted to get some feedback from some of you who might have purchased them already.. any recommendations?.. thanks |
I've been using a func pad for nearly 2 years now. Despite the surface is fading, and i'll be getting another shortly, the pad itself is excellent. Easy to clean, a decent amount of space, and it's 2 sided (smooth side/rough side). It has a rubber base. I've never had any trouble with it sliding around. The best part about the pad itself is, it's so easy to clean. I keep a tube of clorox wipes around my desk, so when it gets dirty I can just wipe it right off. The price is worth it for the length that you'll be using the pad.
$20.00 U.S http://www.func.net |
Func pads are what I use as well. Good stuff.

I'm using a Ratzpad right now, but as soon as I can get 20 bucks I'm buying me a FuncPad.
My buddy has one and would have sex with it if it were up to him... |
I'm using a Ratzpad GS, works great but after about a year the surface is wearing down, I Might have ot look into one of those func pads, thanks for the link :)

I use the Everglide mousepad and love it.

I used an Everglide for a long time, then I got a fUnc pad with my Alienware laptop. They're both pretty good, although I noticed that the fUnc works well with an optical mouse (on the "smooth" side) where the Everglide does not.
The Everglide, on the other hand, could double as a cutting board in a pinch. |
I use a fragpad. It works GREAT. they are on sale for 4 bucks at

I'm using the DKT cloth pad. It's a very large mousepad and is surprisingly smooth even without teflon skates. Here's the link http://www.everglide.com/dkt.htm

I can't remember the last time I used a mousepad. Do yourself a favor and buy an optical mouse! I've used the same one on "wooden" Ikea desks for at least 3 years and I've only got to clean the it's "feet" that pick up dust once in a while.

I use an optical mouse with an Everglide. Works fine for me.

I prefer plastic placemats instead of mouse pads. Shiny laminated looking ones for a ball mouse and a matte-finish placemat for an optical mouse. I buy them at clearance stores.

I've been using a generic cloth-top rubber mousepad for about 5 years now and honestly I can't say any other mousepad has been better. The cloth surface works great with optical mice, and sticks well enough to ball mice to work fine. Go to a trade show or career fair and snag a free mousepad. I got mine when I visited the Air Force Academy 5 years ago. Why pay $20 for something that works just as well as something you can get for free?

I use the old Ratzpad, but I hear the new ones do not last as long.
|
I've used the same mousepad from CompUSA for the past 12 years. Dusty and dirty as all hell but with an optical mouse that doesn't matter :)

3M Precise Mousing Surface with gel wrist pad. Kinda small now that I have a Logitec Mx700.
