Nice! Thanx for sharing!

I tried to use it and it wanted me to install some kind of software.

Seemed kinda shady bro.

Looking into it...

signed up, activated, and connected to ftp. quick, no problems.

Mister B, perhaps you can be more specific, exactly what/how did you 'trigger' it to want you to install some software?

(btw, for reference, I'm using XPSP1, Opera, AdMuncher, Linux Firewall)

The internet *is* shady...but one can make it so one is mostly oblivious to that ;)

I had no software installation issues either. Can't help wondering how these mobs (ImageShack et al) survive but while they keep supplying free shit I'm there!

Hmm. So far on my validiation of the activation code the page has been unavailable for the last couple of minutes, as has the entire site.

What I'm wondering is if I hotlink pics from the site, will every unque view give me an additional meg? I'm thinking Tittyboard today, 3 gbs of storage tomorrow! ( well, not quite that fast, but you know what I mean).

SiN 06-26-2004 04:46 PM

Well fuck me...I take back what I said...it does suck.

Soon as you try to download something, apparently you can only do it thru it's 'applet' that you must install.
Screw that, nofuckingway will I trust em.
Oh, and no, hotlinking does not work.

So - there's the catch.
(If anyone's downloaded without the applet, please post how!)

And it refuses to work with anything other than Micro$$oft IE too! I use opera and it simply tells me to use IE. Fun...

Never mind!

However, I have found another site for free hosting:
http://www.hosting-hub.com/filedeposit/

It is as simple as go to site, select the file, hit upload, and you get given a link to it. Easy! How they make money on it I've no idea but hey!

Best thing is, they allow hotlinking too - this is hosted there. Opera works fine, no downloads - great!

I think that the Titty board is about to kill their servers... :)
BTW they have a max file size of 2MB per file, but there appears to be no other restrictions!

Moo

I use Sony Imagestation for most things. Hit over 100mb worth of photos there without any problem. Only problem is only you can look at the original pics, since the only ones you can post are auto-resized to a pretty small size.

They sell your email address. In fact, they sell a very large list of email addresses to various advertisement companies.

cowudders14 06-28-2004 10:43 AM

The one I sugested doesn't even ask you for an email address. No idea how they make money, although, having said that, it does say "ads by google" on the page...
Not bad though! a few ads for unlimited hosting. :)
