USB no longer responding
Is there any reason windows no longer detects usb devices? None of my pnp usb devices show up. I checked my bios and pnp is turned on. I reinstalled XP pro and having the same problem.

When you checked the BIOS, did you notice if the USB controller was turned off?

a tiny tiny chance that some dust-bunnies or a wandering wire have shorted a jumper somewhere? or an accidentally bumped dipswitch?
maybe reset the mb bios and then go in & check the settings?? just throwing ideas out there |
do you use a usb hub or the usb on motherboard?
look if all cables are connected properly. |
If it was working then stopped working, I doubt it's a bad cable hookup.
Maybe you installed some new hardware that overran some IRQs. Or some other internal hardware failed that you're not immediately aware of that killed USB in the process. |
