system idle process
hey guy i was workig in my pc and suddenyl mirc froze on me and i had to restart by force so i restarted and i notcied my comp doing alot of activites cause of the hdd led. so i waited and powered up again and its working fine but my quesstion is, is system idle process suppose to be in the 90s? whats yours in?

The higher system idel process is, the better. Think of it like this, System Idle process represents the % of your CPU available to request. so 94% idle means only 6% of your cpu is being used at the moment.
With no mouse movement, my idle is 97-99%

yeah...the processor percentages have to add up to 100%...system idle just takes up the balance. On this old PC, system idle takes up 93% with task manager itself taking up another 5%, leaving 2% for background stuff.
