Yeah, they're pretty cool... I think they cost as much as a car, though.

that's scary as fuck. but it's still pretty cool. Those are the kinds of robots that need to be on robot wars. These things would beat the ass of any other robot on there hands down. All they need is some heavy weapons, and bam, world champs.

I think they're dumb. I would never want a robot running around my crib...
America is the most overweight country on the planet, and when people start using robots to do chores we'll only become lazier and fatter. Does anyone know how they work? Was that routine programmed or do they have some unbelievable artificial intelligence? |

If they were ever to be released, I would buy one just to kick its ass on a routine basis for being such a useless piece of shit.
I shudder to think of the money they wasted on a project they have no intentions of selling.

I'm not entirely sure but I don't think they're marketing them as the "Ultra Mecha Dancing Robot-su!" it's just the next step up in the evolution of Robotics, won't be surprised if within the next 2-30 years we'll be seeing Mech's the likes that we see in modern-day anime.
All the same, I was VERY impressed by these robots, it's great to see Japan still ahead of the game though I wish the era of the Samurai had never ended, but that's another rant of mine not fit for this thread... |

I guarantee that was preprogrammed. It was just a demo of how they can move. the AI comes later. |

Surreal
They move so smoothly. Their legs are rather bad, though.
