Morpheous is loaded with spy ware - i canned it
KaZaa lite werks for me...
WinMX werks as well... but ya might be a while to get a whole flik

I try to find one that doesn't bog me down too long & resumes where you left off when you re-log...

as for advice - if I right click on a user that's loading off me & I see something I'd like, I try to be VERY polite when I ask if they'd mind sharing

i think they run on the same nap clients as napster did, but it's a whole online sharing community and stuff. lots of rave over it. i don't use it cuz lots of the good servers require like 10 gigs of shared stuff. i don't like keeping stuff on my hard drive that long so doesn't work for me. but give it a looksy, you might like it.

I use DC++ for all my file-sharing. It's the best I’ve found so far, open source, versatile, and more total shared files than any other program. It helps if you have a large amount to share though, since it gets you into the good hubs.

Kazaa Lite still works well enough for me.

Hey Kiaphas, what's this SiN thing about? I suppose I could google it, but I'd rather hear it from someone who uses it.

DC++

The fact that a lot of a larger rooms have limits on mimimum file sharing amounts works as a great filter. The quality of the results in the searches just shows how much above the more "common" file sharing programs it is. But then again, it is geared more towards those with large amounts of things to share in the first place. So in a sense is a catch 22 situation. You need large amounts of good quality material to get access to other large amounts of good quality material.

Kazaa Lite is pretty good for music but I usually steer clear of it now for anything else.

eMule is great for selection but the speed is horrid.

I've just started checking out Bit Torrent and so far I like it, I'm just having trouble finding links.

I don't have either installed, because i don't steal software and the games i play are online, however if need be i'd use those for that.

I use soulseek as well, even though you have to wait in queues, there are so many files you can usually find a user that isnt busy. also cool about soulseek is that you can get whole cd's. Being a music buff, i really like that, especially with music that is usually hard to find (groups on independent labels and such). I reccomend it wholeheartedly. peace

I use emule and usenet, and no i dont pay for it i use my comcast/at&t server which suits me fine, yeah it only has a day retention if that on the popular groups but hey you get what you pay for.

Also emule is a set and let go program, I have a dedicated box for it and just let it go throwing more at it when it needs more.

DC is fairly good as long as you find a private server with a lot of content. Otherwise, I'm inclined to side with SiN. Private FTP servers are the way to go.

damnit, nobody's mentioned Blubster. It has one little banner ad on the top, and no pop ups. the only CON is that it only lets you share music, but it rapes everyone else in that dept. it lets you preview the files better than kazaa, and doesn't infiltrate your computer with millions of programs. Music - Blubster, Software..., Kazaa.
