I Busted Windows.
 

I have no idea what the heck I was doing and somehow, now when I double-click the C: drive or any external drive it goes to that useless windows search instead of opening the drive. I CAN right click and choose "open" but it is supremely annoying. What the hell am I supposed to do? Help, please. :confused:

*edit* Sorry about the premature post folks. I figured the damn thing out. ::

In any folder
Tools...
Folder Options...
File Types...
Chose Drive, Advanced, New Action--created an action called explore and chose explore.exe from the windows folder. It seems to be working now. If I've done something crazy wrong PLEASE let me know.

Thank you for posting the follow-up. The solution. Wish everyone would.

There's a bit more to it but I'm afraid to suggest regedit on an unaffected system. :) Any idea what might have started the problem?
