Links to Amazon Parsed Incorrectly
I recently tried to link in a post. Strangely, the link seems to be parsed correctly here, but for some reason in the other post it kept getting parsed as
Code:
http://www.amazon.com/g/p/offer Don't know if it was a one-off bug or what, but it's something to look into. I wasn't aware until today that Amazon links were handled differently than any other URL. Anyway, I found a bug and it's now reported. My work here is done. EDIT: On a preview the link seemed to work fine here, but after I submitted the thread I noticed that it's been parsed incorrectly here as well. The actual link is Code:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001RV01IW/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new |
it's because of the ref....
people can use the ref to refer and get credit for people's purchases. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001RV01IW hmmm.... have to look at the item again... but it does have to do with the refer direct to a specific seller, this keeps people from spamming a seller if I'm not mistaken. linking regular items |
