Automerge?
yes, from running my own boards (not this software though) I know what this is....my question is why is it automerging with a post I made YESTERDAY MORNING.
Im trying to add something to my breast reduction thread, but its automerging with a post I made around 11am yesterday and its not showing up as a new post. Is the option to set to automerge if you make two posts in a row no matter when the previous one was made? (I know with IPB it can be set to X number of minutes, dont know about vbulletin, but 2 posts on two differen days merged is kinda silly)

It's within a day to keep people from just bumping threads repeatedly. Kind of like in the request board, day 1: "anyone have a set of her?" next day: "bump" and etc for about a week. If I remember correctly, it's only for a day after though.

well because I wanted to add to it and it merged it with an old post and didnt indicate there was a new post there to read. To people like me that navigate boards using the view new posts link only, it can means you can miss out on stuff because with a merge, naturally its not a new post.
"someone" has the timer set for 24 hours, it let me make a new post right after 11 this morning
