Week #9
The early games have finished, it isn't looking pretty. Four players have four points and three players have no points. Only two players picked Buffalo, and neither of them is leading. I just glad I don't have a bookie. I'd be working on a third mortgage.
We've already dropped four in the loser pool. The remaining games should sort some more things out in the other pools. Oh, and the 72 Dolphins have popped the champagne corks once again.

Congratulations Jesus Malverde
The Suicide Pool is officially over. We have one survivor. By picking Atlanta, New England, Seattle, Denver, Indianapolis, St. Louis, New Orleans, Dallas and finally San Diego, Jesus Malverde has topped us all. In second place, is Dengar who finally succumbed with his pick of the NY Giants. Well done to both of you.

In the regular football pool, with two games left to play, there are only two potential winners. Spartakand crazybill5280 both have 8 wins so far. Both have picked Baltimore tonight. No one with 7 wins picked Cleveland, so it is up to the Monday night game. If Indianapolis wins, Spartak is the winner for week 9. If Minnesota wins, then crazbill5280 claims the title for the week. Good luck both of you.
In the Loser Pool, tonight's and Monday night's games could reduce the remaining players even further. At this point, only two players have picked losers with two potential losers still hanging in. So far, seven players picked wrong, and two didn't pick. We could go into the fifth week of the pool with only two players. Further updates tomorrow.

I fucked up. I screwed around on saturday and forgot to put my picks in for both the Loser pool and the regular pickem pool. By the time I realized it on Sunday, the threads were locked. That means Im out of the loser pool, right? Anyway, from the way things went yesterday, I'd probably have only got at most a half dozen of the games right, so I didnt lose much ground in the pickem pool.
I'll be back in next week. I'll be sure to put my picks in on saturday BEFORE I partake of the flyman.

Victory has finally arrived
Da Bears.
Many thanks to Bones CPA for running the pools, and thank you to my gracious opponents who fought hard but couldn't resist choosing Green Bay. I didn't really have a set strategy, I just tried to pick against the teams who were in over their heads. Home field advantage seemed to work pretty well for me. I knew the contest wouldn't last until the playoffs, so I didn't worry about picking New England or Indianapolis early. Sorry Arizona/Oakland/Miami fans, but my other strategy was to see who was playing those teams and go with them. Man, if I could only have this kind of luck with my football parlays...
