Buffalo Woes
Our starting running back, Travis Henry, is hurt. Sure, it's not terrible considering he only has bruised ribs, and he played on broken ribs last year. However, it intensifies the situation between him and Willis McGahee. There have been rumors that McGahee wants to be traded if he doesn't start. Then rumors surfaced that Henry is looking for a trade. In the meantime...
Our 22nd overall pick, JP Losman, QB, this year's backup and eventual successor to Drew Bledsoe, broke his leg in the same style Vick broke his leg last year. Estimated out 2-3 months. The third string QB, who was elevated to 2nd after the rookie went down, hurt his knee the other day and is out 4-6 weeks. So then we had one quarterback, Drew. So we signed Shane Matthews, who is now the backup. This is a guy who didn't play a down last year as Cincy's third QB. Not to mention the rest of his history, which I won't even bother to mention. If you know, you know. I might cry if I try to tell you. That's just on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, Lawyer Milloy broke his forearm. He claims he'll be back for opening day, but at this rate I'm not holding my breath. And this is only injury-related news. I'm trying not to think about the fact that we have a rookie head coach in Mike Mularkey and a new OC. AND the only time I will probably be able to see them play in person this year is when they come to Baltimore...when they'll be squaring off against my fantasy starter, Jamal Lewis. Just needed to share the frustration. Thanks. |
Wish I could share your pain, brother, but it's just the AFC East clearing its way for the Pats. First the fish, now the Bills. I'm just waiting for Chad Pennington to break all his appendages in the first quarter of Game 1.:)

the fish are regrouping just in time
be afraid pats, be very afraid |
I weep for the Bills. It's going to be a looooong season...
