Birthday Night
 

Not sure this post belongs here, but since you're all my confessors I'll put it here anyway.

The most amazing coincidence occured last night. I was out with my friends, as is my usual Tuesday night activity, only on this night it was my birthday. We were shooting pool and in walks one of the most attractive girls that I have seen in the bar, along with two guys. Right off I notice a ring on her finger, left hand. Off limits, I think. After ordering a drink they approach our pool table and she asks if she can play next game, to which I gladly oblige. She tells me that it's her birthday. I tell her that it's mine too, which she doesn't believe and asks to see my id. After looking at it she says that we are born on the same year too. Incredible. She hugs me and smiles a lot, things I take as flirtation, and I am not entirely innocent of it myself. After the second game I ask her which of these guys she's with is her fiance. Neither, she states clearly, though she does appear to be affectionate with one of them to me. She tells me she works in the service industry and that's why she wears the ring. Two o'clock rolls around and they are about to leave. She hugs my neck and kisses me gently on the neck, a gesture I return. Then she looks at me, smiles, and says "Good." And like that she's gone. Twas it fate that brought us together on this unusual night? Perhaps a huge missed opportunity for me... However she told me where she works and I intend to track her down. Either way it made for a good and memorable birthday night.

That sounds wonderful! Sort of like the beginning of a romantic comedy.

Now watch, you'll coincidently start finding her all over your sprawling metropolis, always with a different guy. The two of you go out for coffee and things, where she explains to you that they're all clients. You're a bit untrusting, but don't say anything to her. So you talk to your buddies about this (You'd have the fat friend, the gay friend, the tough friend, you know? All of the stereotypes?) and they convince you to do something stupid. The next time you get together with this lady you do the stupid thing and she storms out on you in the rain. This is where you run after her, kiss her and the two of you make up after a bit of yelling. It all pans out with you and her driving around on a bright sunny day, playing the newest pop song.

But yah, I'm glad your birthday was memorable! Sorry I missed it! ;)

No, no, cellophanedeity, after the 'storming out in the rain' we need a montage of each of them moping alone, with sad music playing.

Service Industry??? what "service" does she provide? and if she came to the bar with these two guys, who were they to her? I'm a little skeptical......

Those are all very good signs that she is available. Who kisses a stranger on the neck?!? I say go track her down asap!!! The force is strong with this one.

My mom started wearing a wedding ring after she started getting hit on by her male patients (she's been married the whole time, she just never wore a ring).
So, if she works with a lot of male clients, and doesn't want them hitting on her, that would be a reason to wear a ring.

She's bad news, son.... I'd advise you back off because that whoe setup is a recipe for total disaster.

Back off, hell... where's the sense of adventure? Sure, you have no idea what this girl's about but if you go in with no expectations than what's the worst that can happen? It doesn't work out and you move on. Possibly sans kidneys.

I just want to say I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of this thread so far.

Did she tell you where exactly she worked? And if you do try to track her down, where are you going to start? Its a good idea im just a little skeptical on how exactly you would go about doing this. Oh yah by the way... HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAy!!!!!

Service Industry probably means she is a waitress. Every pretty waitress will get hit on by 99% of the single men she serves so the ones that get tired of it will rather spend 5 minutes explaining the ring to the 2 or 3 guys she DOES want to know better and the rest of her time working and not making excuses about how she has to do her hair... Both my sisters have worked as waitresses and several friends both male and female so I know for a fact this is a common practice. As far as why she had the ring on that night ( which I'm sure someone will ask ). My wife wears several rings and she says she doesn't feel right when one of them is off.

id agree with the waitresses being hit on..im a male and used to get a lot of chicks hitting on me when i was a waiter..so u can imagine the women..although im not entirely sure what he means by 'service' industry either...hmmmm
