I felt the desire to comment on this Lady's Lounge thread.

Ladies: guys don't get the personal introduction to blood at an early age the way you do. Blood bothers some people, y'know?

I have no problems watching movies filled with blood, or seeing my own blood, or even filleting a fish. But, when i went with my gf to get her blood tests done I felt sick as soon as i saw the blood getting extracted into a vile. Go figure.

and thank god there are men that it DOESNT bother....as I stated in the other thread about this....Im hornier during that time of the month than any other time and I hate the thought of a guy not wanting sex just because the "fluid" is a different color then...big deal...if he doesnt want it "on him" he can wear a condom. With "some" women guys are really missing out on some animally agressive sex by not wanting sex during her time of the month.

I'll admit, the first time I had sex with a girl on her period kinda freaked me out. I didn't know it was 'that time' so I was a bit shocked when I saw 'ketchup on my hot dog'. She had to convince me that she was okay and then I slowly calmed down.

From my experience, girls do tend to be hornier around this time. I am not one to turn a lady down so I keep my eyes over the horizon and keep a towel nearby. Sure, it's a little gross but so worth it.

I do agree with denim -- the average woman does see a much more blood in her lifetime than the average man. Blood's never bothered me, but my dad passes out when he sees it. At the start of one of my ex's periods I was unaware that she was just getting her period, and I saw the smallest amount of blood, and with all my blood concentrated in another area of my body I felt very dizzy.

I understand you aren't hurt or wounded but the reaction is still there if I see blood. And I have a pretty good sniffer and I can even kind of "smell" blood. It seriously makes me ill being around blood because as a guy you are conditioned to think blood is something you only see when somebody is hurt.

And I just read that thread in the other forum and...honestly the thoughts of it make me want to upchuck right now.
This is part of the reason I don't want to see my kids being born...I don't want to see my kid covered in blood and goo...and I don't want to think about the carnage that has occured in my wife's naughty bits for that to happen.

Side note: having nothing to do with sex, some people just are grossed out by blood of any kind, and many ladies are not receptive to the reality of it. If your man is grossed out by blood of all kinds, then fuckin' deal with it as a human being and get over it. It's not personal.

For the record, I don't care about blood at all, and regular blood is kinda tasty.

I have an accute sense of smell- and the smell of blood is not a turn on at all- due to conditioning that I have had through life, I equate blood with violence- in short it takes me to places that i do not wish to go in an amorous situation- incidentally I am also very much not an s+m person, for the same reasons- my brain is just hardwired to reflexively equate pain, blood, etc to very non sexual responses, and while I could, I suppopse, try to de program myself, I feel that I need the reflexes that I have already installed, just in case......

No it isn't fucked up. Some people like the taste of blood. They shouldn't be called freaks or told they are fucked up because of that. Every one has their own niche. Now if it was cutting someone open and killing them yes..that woudl be fucked up, but this is distinctly different.
