Picking up women
 

This thread is mainly for single guys.
I don't ask a lot of women out.
Partly becuase it's a little uncomfortable and stressfull, but mostly becuase 90% of the time it's just inappropriate.

But sometimes I do. I've been thinking that it's good to practice a little now and then. If someone special comes your way, you don't want to stammer out a proposition of some sort. :)

Most of the time, women say no when I ask them out. Yes I read the signs (do they like me signs).

How often do you single guys ask women out? I only come accross about 1 girl/month whom I want to go out with and it's also approprate to ask them out.

I talk to a woman every day, if not that much than at absolute least every 3rd day.

I get shot down the majority of the times, but a whole lot are interested.

Dont worry about appropriate. You wouldnt think interrupting a girl grocery shopping would be, but it's statistically the best place to meet a longterm partner. My advice? dont overthink it, and dont put too much emphasis on it.

I'm kind of shy and a picky when it comes to women. Since I'm not very sociable, I'm only interested in women I think I'll be compatible with.

Ease up my friend! I talk to women everyday because I work behind a bar, and I think that that has given me a lot more confidence in itself.
I think that almost anywhere are great places to meet women, or at best at least talk to them. Does it work a lot of the time? Nope, but I think that (even if i'm not at ALL interseted) its good to be speaking to people...practice makes perfect?

As a woman, who occassionally hears some pick up lines. Don't bother with the lines, most of them are so hokey, they're laughable.

Be yourself.
Make me laugh.
Talk to me, not by boobies.

Ok heres my thing. I have been better at talking to women, but I guess I just don't know how to do something like you said (grocery store) without it being akward. I dunno "hey, you're cute whats you phone number?" seems to be immature.

Don't sell ackward short -- it can be quite sweet and charming (in a good way) - Just be yourself - if you find someone interesting -- just go over and talk to her - be yourself - she'll probably be flattered and want to continue the conversation...

Having spent the last year in a job where 70% of my coworkers are women, I can certainly say that my confidence and ability to talk to women has grown quite well.

As far as picking up women go, I must say that being yourself is the best thing possible.

And with pickup lines, there is one line that works better than all the others, it's not gauranteed to work all the time, but it is gauranteed to keep you from getting shot down in under 10 seconds.

(okay,I'm not a guy but yea)You never know what you are missing until you say hello...

So you want to know how to pick up a woman? Well, start with a pallet. Strap her to the pallet, then use a fork lift. Works!

Follow SixEdxMia's advice. You'd be surprised. Now I should take her advice two. The last two times I asked a girl out it was unconventional and I got shot down both times. So I think I WILL try the more traditional hello.

How do I know if the girl is into girls or not.
Its really hard for me to pick up women or even get them to talk to me. I heard if they give me eye contact or see them checking me out.
I get talked to and hit on even in supermakets so I guess I seem very easy to talk too.
I say just compliment them on there shoes shirt what ever, they will like it, or there hair.

Ok, female talkin' here. Shyness is great, but....

Ask anyone out! It is all a numbers game anyway. Just look at it as getting to know a potential friend. That is all it is. Besides, even if you aren't 'wild' about your date, you will get to know their friends and so on and so forth.

If you meet someone great, wonderful. If not, then hopefully you had a nice time out anyway.
