What are your thoughts on ANR? (Breastfeeding your man)

ANR stands for Adult Nursing Relationship.

From what I gather, some women are milkmaids and in the UK, they are doing a booming business.

The ages of the men who are seeking an ANR range from the early 20's to the senior citizens.

Some men nurse 4-6 times a day and I've read that once the milk comes in you can adjust the supply to the demand.

Breast pumps and maternity wear for women who aren't pregnant. Who knew?!

Here's some links, [NSFW] just to be on the safe side.

So, women sell there breast milk to anyone? I was thinking sucking on your pregnant SO's breasts.... hmmm, this is a little different. I don't think I would ever get breast milk from a stranger. Now if my wife was pregnant I might try it out just to see what its like.

I don't know about this. I've had girlfriends make jokes about starting to lactate after they discover how much I enjoy their breasts, but none of them have actually started to produce any milk.

I've always been interested in finding out what boob milk tastes like.

Lately, I've been wondering if that would be a more natural milk for us to drink than cows anyway.

Well, since no one else has shared...

I've tasted my wife's breastmilk - mostly accidentally, in the, er, heat of the moment, while she was nursing the kids.

It's warm, obviously, very sweet, thick, cloying, and with a somewhat different flavor than cow's milk. Warm up some half-and-half in the microwave, add some sugar, (and suck it out of a boob, if possible), and you'll probably get pretty close.

Not really my cup of...er...milk, but hey, to each his (or her) own.

Edit: Hrm, the above sounds like I tore the infant child off the boob mid-meal. To be clear, this was while we had a breastfeeding infant, not at the same time as the infant. :-)

BTDT. OK, never nursed off another person, but there was a period of about six years straight that I was lactating. My ex, who got squeamish just handling the milk in the beginning was going for it straight from the tap at the end.

I don't think I'd be comfortable with just anyone nursing from me, as that relationship is pretty intimate. But a trusted partner? Sure.

And for the record, the taste of milk changes with the age of the child and what the mother has eaten. Mine has tasted like garlic and asparagus, among other things. Newborn milk is sweeter. Toddler milk is saltier.

Got used to it when my wife was nursing (4 kids so I've had my chances). I wouldn't call it a turn on, but the sweetness was a nice bonus when my mouth got to that area.

I actually miss it from time to time. But NEVER to the point that we'd put another bun in the oven.

I can't quite remember the story and I only learned about it because it was the subject of a painting, but I believe there's a Catholic Saint who miraculously survives imprisonment without food. He survived of course, because his daughter secretly nursed him when she visited.

A shot of breast milk for anyone who can fill in the story or name the painting!

EDIT:

Found it. The painting I saw was Peter Paul Ruebens' Cimon and Pero from a tour of the Hermitage's collection. Here's some info on the story from a Breastfeeding in Art website. No, really!

http://www.art-breastfeeding.com/rel2/cimon.htm

When my wife was nursing our first, I was reluctant to go for her boobs because I knew she was lactating. Eventually, I couldn't stay away from the boobies any longer, and gave it a shot. I liked it, and it was a fairly big turn on... for both of us.

Now that she's about ready to pop out our 2nd, I'm looking forward to getting a taste again. It's not my #1 turn on, but it will be fun while it lasts.

This is an interesting post. I was just talking to someone about wet nurses, but I was thinking for infants. It has not escaped me though that I would like it with a man. The first few times I nursed my children I was not prepared for the sexual feeling. It was very good and rumbly. That feeling seemed to sort of evaporate after a short time and I felt a calm and sense of well being within myself for the rest of the time I nursed and I believe that feeling helped in mothering and transferred to my child. It was unique to nursing and I sometimes miss it.

I suppose I heard of or would have guessed that there are occasional men who like to nurse, but I don't know I would have guessed a "booming business." I wonder if there are health benefits/detriments?

I wouldn't let a grown man have my breast milk. Big turn off for me. Can't really tell you why, but it is. Also the whole idea of breastfeeding puts me off somewhat, though I'd do it for my baby. But that is all.

My ex and I have four kids together. After each pregnancy she was happy to give me one or two drinks of her bountiful nectar. Once we drank together; me sucking the sweet milk from the nipple of one breast while she lifted and squeezed the other and squirted into her open mouth. Now that was a huge turn on for me and also for her.

About the only interest I have in it, is that nursing kills her sex drive (and does in most women, for obvious evolutionary reasons).

The concept of if a grown man nursing being a sexual turn on seems just bizarre.

I nursed well past societal norms (3.5 yrs with one and 2 yrs with the other). During the first 6 months post-partum, this is definitely the case. But once I got my period back, libido rebounded (as much as time and energy allowed.)

My wife is currently breast feeding and often "lets down" during sex. There's no special turn on for me in it but the wetness is kind of fun.

Abaya, my wife is also very sensitive that way and she had the same fear before our first. Once in practice, she found it such a different experience that there weren't any conflicting or awkward feelings.

Actually, this is not uncommon at all.

http://sexuality.about.com/od/anatom...m_breastfe.htm

Quote:
Possibly because childbirth has historically not been under the control of the medical profession, there are many important experiences of childbirth and postpartum that haven’t made their way into the medical literature.

Many women who breastfeed have the experience of feeling aroused, and even having an orgasm, while breastfeeding. But because this is something researchers haven’t studied, and it isn’t a regular part of the education of mothers-to-be, many women experience this and then feel silent shame or guilt, as if there is something wrong with them. But there is a very clear reason for the experience and women neither need to feel shame or embarrassment about it which is caused mostly by a lack of information.

Oxytocin is a hormone that stimulates ejection of milk from the nipples, and its release is triggered by breast stimulation.

But oxytocin is implicated in many other physiological processes. It is involved in contractions of the uterus (both during childbirth and during orgasm), as well as being associated with the feeling of relaxation and satiation following orgasm.

It is thought that this is the reason that breastfeeding may produce feelings of sexual arousal and orgasm. And the experience is far from rare.

In a 2000 study of breastfeeding women, 40.5% of the participants reported feeling sexually aroused at some point during infant suckling. 16.7% reported being aroused frequently during breastfeeding.

Source:
Avery, M.D., Duckett, L., Frantzich, C.R. “The Experience of Sexuality During Breastfeeding Among Primiparous Women.” Journal of Midwifery and Women’s Health Vol. 45(3), 2000: 227-236.
I experienced these feelings while breastfeeding my children, but it never progressed to orgasm or sexual aggressiveness. I felt it while nursing and then promptly forgot about it.

That said, I have absolutely no interest in breastfeeding a man and, in fact, find it to be a bit of a turn-off. Infantilism in any form just ain't my thing.

Well, there's lots of different definitions of "growing up," several of which I refuse to engage in.

I guess most of us have "issues" to some degree. I find those who don't, or at least claim they don't, are usually extremely boring people.

Agreed.

But in this context I am referring mostly to childish behavior. And I would definitely equate a man's desire to drink my breastmilk with childish behavior - a desire to regress. Plus it exhibits a 'mother' fetish that would make me extremely uncomfortable, as well.

All that said, this is only my response to the subject and I could be completely off the mark in my interpretation of it. After all, I have my own weird compulsions that could easily be interpreted negatively by others.

heh

It does, if it is frequent enough. Without actually trying, my normal sexual behavior has induced mild lactation. The frequent use of nipple clamps, pinching nipples during arousal(habit of mine) and of course some suckling has induced lactation.

Our baby just turned 18 the other day, but I can still remember back to the days of lactating breasts quite well. While not a huge turn on for me (well, any more than the boobs already were) I did enjoy the taste, and if I was to play with them, tasting the milk was not avoidable, so I might as well enjoy it, right?
