Interesting article on George W Bush
I know this is old, but I actually rather enjoyed it.
I'll make no apologies, as it's patently "anti-bush", but I think it's worth reading nonetheless. http://slate.msn.com/id/2100064/ For the record, I stumbled across it as I was looking for a "Kerry-ism" to balance the humourous Bush quotation of the day I posted yesterday. I am anti-Bush, but like to work towards some degree of bi-partisanship! Would you believe I couldn't find any? Plenty of silly conservative Kerry-isms that simply attacked him on points of policy. But no utterances of complete nonesense that we have come to love and enjoy from Bush. Mr Mephisto |

well I don't think anyone has ever accused him of being a good orator. As bad as some of his "bushisms" are I can't say I would do any better.

This is the man who represents us to the rest of the world. One would hope he could, at the very least, use the language in a way that garners respect amongst our peers, rather than disdain. I have ONE primary requirement, above all others, that I must have in my president. He must be smarter than I am. This is not difficult to accomplish, and would likely prevent much of the turmoil of the past few years. It would also temper the embarassment I feel for my Country.
