It didn't take me long in life to figure out that hard work will help you achieve many things.
That doesn't say anything in the way of actual intelligence, though.

not to encite a riot here, but you do realize GWbush was rejected from UT-Austin for undergrad bc his grades and acheivement record were..shall we say..abysmal....and the only way he got into ivy league school was through the legacy policy...
Basically, what i'm saying, is that if GWbush was GW smith or GW susanokovitch, he would have barely made it into college..ok, that's a bit rough, he would have gotten into college, just not ivyleague or anything close.

not really, look at ford, kinda fell into presidency w/out being elected...not a bad man, by any means, but not exactly the brightest in the world
also, you gotta think, a LOT of the reason bush is there..1. karl rove...2. daddy's justice appointees..

Doesn't matter what school you go to really, an MBA is still a joke of a course.

Yes, clearly a man who believes that Mexican is a language and that Africa is a nation, is a very intelligent human being.

Dan quayle was only one bullet away from being president. I think bush is more charming than intelligent. Maybe that's part of his charm. I think he got c's at harvard. C's are "harvard f's" |

I guess I am not impressed with a Harvard MBA. GWB is running the country the way he ran his company. Is it a surprise that he bankrupted that compnay? Honestly, if you can balance your checkbook and stay out of serious credit card debt, you have a better grasp of economics than GWB.

Yup. Just remember, there's no law that your Doctor has to tell you that he/she graduated in the bottom 1% of his/her class...

GWB has never had to worry about paying off a credit card. Or ten. Or using them to start a business. He has no awareness of fiscal responsibility. Those businessmen you talk about understand the risk of what they did far more than GWB ever would.

Laura? Nice try. More like Cheney and Rumsfeld.
You do not have to be a genius to get through college - even Haavad. That's a myth that Harvard loves, but is simply not true. In fact, anyone can make it through college if they go to class, turn in assignments, and do whatever the prof says. It's largely an exercise in rote repetative bullshit, and regurgitation of memorized facts - and there is NOT an emphasis on real thinking. |

I'll refrain from making a tacky statement about how that was pre-Hopwood, or that now, he probably couldn't get into UT undergrad coming from a fancy NE prep school. All they look at now is class rank, so graduating #5 out of 50 at hicksville high with a 900 SAT > #6 at a prestigious prep school with a class of 50 with an SAT of 1500. Sorry for the off-topic mini-rant. |
