I know, i know you don't like Washington Post...but this is worth reading

I'm not very well-educated on this subject, but I assume that the US has agreed to a truce with these fighters to use them as a makeshift border patrol to keep Iranian groups from complicating the situation in Iraq. It does seem a bit hypocritical that we are only concerned with the terrorists that threaten the US, but starting to round these guys up would start yet another problem in Iraq, another fight. For now, it seems best to just use them to our advantage, and arrest them later (which, if at all, will only happen when Iraq is "up and running").

"Terrorist" and "freedom fighter" are interchangeable terms- the only difference is which side you see them from.

The enemy of my enemy is my buddy today - tomorrow we might need to reconsider. I have no problem with the Washington Post - MSNBC, the LA and NY Times - That's a different story!

This policy has always worked so well in the past, I guess it wouldn't hurt to help out a few more "terrorists" in order to further our goal of fighting "terrorism".
