I liked Lou Dobbs and agreed with him on many issues.
His downfall was probably the illegal immigration thing though. Somehow he has been labeled a racist even though he married a hispanic women.

Yes, because marrying a Hispanic woman certainly makes up for the fact that he continuously claimed that Mexicans were spreading leprosy into the US (which was proven false)*, claimed that Hispanic organizations were trying to kill him (which was false)**, used information and invites guests from segregationist/white supremacist groups without mentioning that ***, and claimed that a visit by the Mexican president was a part of a plot to reconquer the SW of the US for Mexico ****
