the pragmatic questions are simply the pragmatic questions---it is better tha obama takes the united states off a footing in which it sees itself as outside all law because it posited an imaginary threat to it's existence. what happens to be folk who remain in gitmo should be done to complete to job of bringing the united states back into the domain of international law, conventions concerning the treatment of detainees, and of requirements of due process. |
I have my doubts just due to the fact of what his 2 advisers are saying and the issue that executive orders have a way of rarely being executed or partially executed.

only problem there is when said home country is "terroristic" - at least by our standards. That basically sets them free and allows them to resume their terrorist ways
