The Republican party has lost its way. McCain is going to prove that a "maverick" is not right for the party. The second place person was Romney, an "empty suit" with a good haircut is not right for the party either. Palin is showing the base that a person can stand on principle and generate enthusiasm. She will motivate more like her to rise to the top of the party.

I am looking forward to see what happens in the next 4 years if Obama wins and Congress has enough power to totally control the agenda. Like I wrote in another post: Is the business cycle going to end? Will the "rich" not get richer? Will inner city schools stop under-performing? Will there be an end to homelessness? Will unemployment go to 0%?

I would be worried if I were a Democrat, they won't have anyone to blame any more. What will they do?

Or how long he will last in that position:
Perhaps, McCain thought he was rehabilitated.

And this is (as you characterized several posts ago) a professionally run campaign?

The thing I find amusing is how offensive it is to the left that McCain is actually trying different things to win.

So, Obama comes out with his "transition" team to get votes and then McCain sees the positive in it and does the same. Gee, these guy are "running" for President. No matter how professional you are, if you are losing at the end of the game, you try new stuff. Or, at least I would, perhaps others wouldn't.
