Here is a picture of our cat Wicket. I took it using two external flashes on my Nikon 4500. I like how it sort of looks like a 50s portrait or something. :D

My parents recently got a new puppy. I got a few pictures while I was home last week. This is Zevon. This picture doesn't do his size justice. He is tiny.

I cant post any thing yet i am kinda still a rookie but I have a african grey bird.
your animals are all cute

bernadette 04-09-2004 11:22 PM

awww love thumper!!!!

i had bunny, too...

her name was ester bunny. (purposedly no letter a)
i swear to god she showed up on our back porch on easter sunday1997.

me & the hubby we sitting in the kitchen having breakfast & browsing the newspaper.
i looked out the patio door & there she was!
i said to hubby "omg the EASTER BUNNY is at our back door!'

well cut to the chase... the nextdoor neighbor teenager had found her about 4 miles away the night before & brought her home to keep. (stupid kid)
anyway he put her in their backyard with this humongous dog of theirs...
the scared little rabbit crawled under the fence to safety into our yard.

a couple hours after us discovering the bunny, the neighbor dad knocks on our door & says, "yknow you have a rabbit in you backyard?"
duh, yeah.
he takes the rabbit.
a couple hours later... the teenager asks if we want the rabbit.
i said i really didn't cuz i had 3 cats & 2 dogs at the time... but i told him yeah, i'll take the bunny & try to find its home.
posted flyers everywhere nearby where he said he'd found here. called the humane society, etc.
no one called.
it's eastertime... the humane society will euthanize many rabbits because of this holiday...

so we kept her.
she was the sweetest thing ever.
i had her for 5 yrs.
and i miss her.

this is not the best picture... i will look for more later.
she was difficult to take pics of being all white & the last of contrast. well, at least difficult for me.

if you read all that... well, bless you : )

HAPPY EASTER from ester bunny's mommy.

Great Easter story, bernadette... And yes, I read the whole thing, too. I appreciate the part about the hard picture to take because the color. Black can be just as difficult.

On that note, I'm introducing my black standard poodle, Clementine, all dressed up for Easter. ;)

A black and white tends to show a little more contrast, I think.

Latch 04-11-2004 03:15 AM

Wow.. this thread has really made me miss having ferrets hehe.

I grew up w/ animals.. then I went to uni.. and lived on res.. three years w/ no pets.. it sucked. I'm renting a place now, and convinced the real estate agents to let me get a cat.

Introducing Sir Franklin T. Fuzzynuts.

(Sir Franklin T. because cat's always have that "better than you" attitude, and Sir Franklin T. seems like a.. proper-type name. Fuzzynuts cause well.. he has em (for a few more weeks at least)).

Yeah, colour's screwed...

here are 2 of our 4...

Emily http://nand.net/adep/files/img/new/emily_window.jpg

and Princeton http://nand.net/adep/files/img/new/princeton.jpg

Nancy 04-14-2004 09:24 AM

Princeton looks like a mean guardian cat :D

Jolt 04-14-2004 04:56 PM

Actually he's one of the calmest, friendliest cats I've ever known. :) Em on the other hand is a holy terror! She's almost always hissing and growling at Princeton or Muffin, our flabby (~18#) gray/brown tiger. then tend not to pay much attention and just go about their business...
