Maybe time to buy a new clock?
How often can this happen, though... twice a day at most... hmm... I'll see if I can notice such an occurence, and perhaps find any intriguing data about these numbers. I know that numbers that all share the same number duplicately, such as 11, 33, 777, 5555 all have a common name... I'll find that out too.

I think you notice it only because it is 11:11, you probably dont even notice when you look at the clock and its 10:59 or 2:17 or 9:34. Why? Because there is nothing interesting about those times. But you will notice 11:11 10:01 12:34, etc
Its like walking down the street, and seeing hundreds of people, probably not even paying attention to any of them. But, if you see a guy with flourescent green pants, a bright yellow shirt and a pink hat, you will remember him. |

EXPLANATION FOR EUROPEANS AND OTHER FREE THINKERS
People are descended from early primates. Early primates were preyed on by scary carnivores with camoflaged fur. The primates that could spot a pattern that MIGHT be a tiger lived to breed. Pattern spotting therefore became a skill that evolution selected for. I hear there is a group of people marked with moles in a triangular pattern on their skin by a master alien race, all of whom are united by a mysterious kinship with 11:11
My lady is constantly pointing out 11:11 during significant moments in our day, and she has this pattern on her cheek . . . edited to add link http://www.greatdreams.com/numbers/1111/1111.htm

[geek] On an analogue clock, 12:30 is not a perfect line, because by half past the hour the hour hand has moved 2.5/60ths around (i.e 15 degrees). Six o'clock is however a straight line. [/geek]

Yes I know I am a dork but.....
My wife has been seeing 9:11 for a few years everyday on the clocks, it was driving her crazy and she could not figure out why it happened every single day? I started looking this up on the web and found this site http://board.1111angels.com/index.php. I have been seeing 11:11 12:12 1:11 etc all day everyday now too. The site is kind of wacky but it is an interesting read. So, you are not alone apprently there are lots of people that have been seeing this. here is another link. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/search...?query=11%3A11
Hope this helps G |

*shocked*... My sister mentioned this several months ago. Seriously going back to last november. It showing up all over the place. Two recent flights on different airlines by schedule land at 11:11. The clock ... well that's twice a day so coincidence maybe. It's mentioned in songs... the whole thing is nuts and now this thread... nice. I'll have another glass of wine and just STFU about it... thanks adding to my paranoia. :-)

I seem to recall that the old Timex Marlin commercials would display the watch at 10:10 or 1:50, so that the hands created a chevron or "v" around the Timex name. I'm not sure... Maybe there's an old commercial posted in Youtube... checking.... ahh, take a licking and keeps on ticking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVatUaplyVU |

I had a strange night. I work night shift at the grocery store, to get things started.
Before work I decided to check my balance, and it came up $666. Cute coincidence I thought. I went to work, normal night and I go take my lunch break. I read during break and set my watch to stop timer to keep track. (30 mins) One chapter down and the timer reads 11:11. Heh, I smile and continue. Next check is 13:33. Take a drink and dive back into the story. Next check is 23:33 and at this point I say out loud "no way" and write the times down to remember, and just in case. Next glance reveals a timer count of 25:55. I hear people going inside and the last glance down says break is over, so I go punch back in. I stop the timer, clear it and swap over to actual time, and it is... 11:44. I chuckled out loud and continued to work. Curiosity got the best of me after a couple cases and I looked one last time to find 11:52:52. At this point it stopped being every time I looked down because, well, I kept looking and the pattern was never a straight repeat. But 75% of each glance afterward has a discernable pattern. as follows, 12:23, 12:32 (I add those just because) 1:09:01, 1:48:14, 2:20, 12:44, 3:13:13 and 3:23 So after the first batch my mind was grasping for any pattern it could see really, but I wrote them down anyhow, just for you guys. And a funny thing, when I decided to post this, my clock read 7:37. *edit* I don't take exactly 30 min lunches, it's between 30-35 so it's *possible* my break started at 11:11 as well. heh, who knows.
