Dimmu Borgir on "Battle for Ozzfest"
This show has been on all morning and I can't pull myself away from it to save my life! If you haven't seen it it's where members from some number of bands around the country have to do menial shit and live together to try and get a slot on Ozzfest. Like Survivor meets metal hehe, but anyway on this last episode I was watching they had to do promotion work for Dimmu Borgir and try and get them some radio time. So they get a live radio slot on some rock station and the DJ is asking them some truely dumbass question and you can tell the members are a bit miffed to be interviewed by such an ignorant dumbass. They end up swearing a couple of times and the DJ gets totally flustered and THROWS Dimmu and the Battle of Ozzfest guys out of the radio station!!! What the FUCK?! It was unreal. Then the camera cuts to them standing outside and Dimmu's tour manager is just in a rage sounding like he wants to kick the guys ass. Later the band and the show contestant folks are all drinking at some bar and one of the girl contestants is talking to a member of Dimmu, and he looks like he simply does not give a shit at all. Fucking....hilarious.
Wow, there is no point to this post at all!

Hey thats cool
I dig what your saying. I watched this today as well... with the same fascination that I had with "Tough Enough". I love it when the weather is so forbidding that the only thing you have to do is watch marathon reality programming... I loved it when the blonde girl,at the dinner with Dimmu Borgir, started talking about her love for her family with one of the members of the band, whose thoughts were obviously still back home...or....somewhere else.

They played all the episodes yesterday, but after the Dimmu episode I realized it was almost 4 in the afternoon and I still had to shower.
But I was flipping through channels in my girlfriends dorm a while after and saw that they were congratulating some guys for winning it. The Fists of Fury band or something won it, I think it was the dudes band that got kidnapped by Unearth and Lamb of God and got the mohawk con lightning bolts but I'm not sure. Ahmad was a jackass and really deserved all the crap he took from the other guys. Did you guys see the part when they had to play with the other signed bands and Ahmad got to play with Throwdown. Now, I had never (thankfully) even heard of Throwdown but their philosophy on music was just bogus! "Most of our stuff you can play with one hand so you can rock out more. If you ever just want to throw your fist up the kids get really stoked about that." Made me sick! I loved where they had to write an acoustic song in 24 hours, some of those were pretty damn good.

Yea, i was A Dozen Furies that won. A favorite part of the show for me was when Manntis was playing their song , before they got eliminated, and the lead singers nose started bleeding for no reason, then he started hitting himself in the head to look cool.

So was that Joe's (methinks) band, the dude who got the mohawk? I really liked him for some reason, he was just really cool about everything. I also thought that southern vocalist guy had an awesome voice.
It was sad to see the "true" metal head go home first, but he fucked up on a couple of occasions..."I'm the clown from Slipknot." Kelly (the attourney/pseudo-metal head) should have gone long before that one guy ever did, something about him screamed sleazeball.
