The massacre
I just watched a documentary on Sundance called Dig?. It was about the Dandy Warhols and the Brain Jonestown Massacre. The Brian Jonestown massacre were quite pecuilar. I downloaded some of thier stuff which is pretty good, anybody hear of them?

I saw that documentary a couple months back, and I just downloaded some of their stuff from iTunes last night. Some of it is damn good, but it's marred by inconsistent vocal mixing, in my opinion. Sometimes you can barely make out the lyrics, or you can hear the verse fine but not the chorus.

i finally saw the movie too, highly recommended.
i haven't heard much BJM yet, but i'm really dig!ging their satanic majesties second request. shame i'm only finding out about them now. unfortunately i don't like the DWs quite as much as i used to. and the "last high" video, which i had not seen, is ridiculous. but the movie seemed to gloss over their problems while emphasizing those of the BJM. (granted, the BJM were often in trouble.) i only hope their odditorium album is not as overproduced as monkey house. |
