Punk songs
 

alright well I need to update my punk tracks on my cpu here, and I know of a few good bands, but don't know the song titles.
So when I search for the band I have to just take a pick at the titles and hope they're good.
Im not exactly underground so the bands I do know are generic.
What Im looking for is simply your favorite punk bands and your favorite songs by them.

Um, well these aren't "punk" exactly, but, ah, punkish, I guess. I dunno, I'm kinda tired. But I like, or have liked:

Richard Hell & the Voidoids. Most of the "Blank Generation" record is awesome.
Soft Boys. "Can of Bees" is an excellent album.
Uhhh, Stooges? Black Flag? MC5? I guess those could be considered "generic" punk... I better go back to bed. Good luck.

One of my favorite punk bands is Me First & The Gimme Gimmes. They do cover versions of tons of songs like Ice Ice Baby, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Uptown Girl, iow, all over the map.

And they are great!
