Going to see Cheap Trick/Aerosmith in 2 weeks
Has anyone seen them yet? And is it a good show.
I'm sure Aerosmith will rock, but worried the Trick has lost a step or two and if the opener does poorly usually sets the mood for the show. Although, Tom Petty overcame Jackson Browne opening for him 2 years ago.

I wouldn't worry about Cheap Trick. The way Aerosmith is playing, they have never played better. Good gig to see. Enjoy

Thanks.
I am looking forward to it. The wife gave me the choice of this one, Van Halen or Poison/KISS and there was no hesitation which one to see. Unfortunately, I have to see Sarah McClachlan for her in August. Marriage means compromises I guess.

I think you made a great choice. Although it's been 20 years since I've seen Cheap Trick, I highly doubt they've lost a step.
With a guitar player as good as Rick Nielson, I wouldn't worry. Wait until he pulls out that multi-necked guitar and plays every neck during a solo. Awesome! My favorite live song by them was "Gonna raise hell" I'm hope they play it. If your not familiar with it, it's on the Dream Police album. As for Aerosmith, that's a no brainer. I may be a little jaded, though, since Joe Perry is my favorite all time guitar player. Have fun man...You'll see a great show!

It's June 28th at Blossom Music Center Ampitheater (near Akron, Oh.)
Trust me I will post a review, I'm totally jazzed about it. This means I can pretty much cross off everyone I wanted to see live, except the KINKS for a third time...... but that is looking very grim.

Well all jazzed about the concert and will post a review tonight when I get home.
This is I believe the last city for Aerosmith in the US before they go to Japan, so maybe it will even be even more energized. I am jazzed as hell for the show. I love the Trick, but have read reviews and they sound like they have lost a bit. But the reviews for Aero make up for them sooooo. Maybe since it's the last show together CT and Aero will play a song or 2 together. Be cool to see Joe Perry and Rick Nielson play dueling solos, (esp. with Nielson's 6 neck). Have Zander and Tyler do a duet to a beatles song since both bands not only covered Beatles hits, but made those songs hits themselves (CT= SGT Pepper's/ Aero= Come Together). That alone would be would be worth the price of admission. ROCK ON AND KEEP THE REAL ROCK MUSIC ALIVE.

Well, I would love to give a review but unfortunately I did not go.
It rained all day and we had lawn seats. This caused my wife to get all pissy and not want to go. We are having problems anyway, so this added fuel to the fire. Needless to say stupid things were said and done and I didn't get to the concert. (There will be an essay of what happened in my journal if you care to read, some of you may laugh (that's ok) some may think me the worst example of a man on Earth, trust me I am not happy with what I did, and some may understand, that is the type of person I need in my life now as a friend.

Fuck that shit, I would've gone anyways! Sorry dude... I'm sure you missed a good one! If you go to Cheap Tricks website you'll see the multikneck guitar I was talking about under the pictures section.
