Chapman stick and Traben bass
well other musicians out there Im the crazy one with 22 now more guitars I just got a amazing new bass from a company called Traben wild flame Shaped bridge that covers most of the body (I got a CHAOS five string) in rootbeer and its plays amazingly well with sutain that lasts forever. If your a bass player check them out great playability at a low cost.
And more importantly I just took delivery after months on a Chapman Stick which Ive been waiting months for and it is everything I heard it would be unbelievable instument but very different I feel like a beginer all over again anybody out there a stick player???? Not a stick player (not even much of a player, period - I really, really suck ), but I'm teaching myself to play a Mobius Megatar - its the poor man's Chapman Stick (assuming you go the inverted fifths route, at least - I didn't, and went with uncrossed bass bottom fourths instead), and I am absolutely loving it.
Another cool thing about Mobius, besides their awesome instrument, is that their turn-around time on delieveries is waaay shorter than Chapman. I got mine within 4-6 weeks of ordering. Both Stick and Megatar are definitely not what you'd be used to as the norm... feels like playing a piano sometimes!
