Ooh, thats a tough call. I'd have to say I like their stuff a bit more now, though I'm pretty selective as to which of their songs I like out of all of their albums, not just any album in particular. I think their newer stuff has become more "listener friendly" for the people who aren't necessarily "into" Radiohead.

Hmm. I think their best three albums are The Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A, but I'm not sure how I'd rank them. I'm tempted to say Kid A, but it's got some real junk in the title track and "Treefingers", and the other two don't really have any filler (edit: besides fitter happier). I'll say the Bends. Hail to the Thief would be fourth, Amnesiac fifth, and Pablo Honey sixth.
I guess my vote's for now, since you imply OKC is included in 'now'. 2-1.

I like all the albums I've heard of theirs (never heard Pablo Honey of Amnesiac) but I think OK Computer is amazing in the way the best Pink Floyd albums are amazing, through and through. It has everything I could ever want in an album. Climb up the Walls is such an awesomly creepy-sounding song.
MAn, I wish my copy didn't skip. Lots of times I'll be listening to a cd with some friends, and when I say something like "this part coming up is sweet" that part will skip. |

I'm not sure why everyone is so down on Amnesiac. That album is great.
I just can't compare the albums that well I guess. It's like comparing "Hard Days Night" to "Abbey Road". Same band, different place in their careers.

I like their older stuff the most. "You" off Pablo Honey is their best song ever in my opinion.
I sort of gave up on radiohead after OK Computer. They say there's a fine line between genius and insanity and I think Thom Yorke crossed it after OK Computer --jaded

After playing all of their CDs to death:
OK Computer: 10/10. I love every song. Even fitter happier fits. A masterpiece. Kid A: 10/10. I love every song. A masterpiece. The Bends: 8/10. It has some great songs, but drags like hell at times. Amnesiac: 9/10. Very hit or miss. Some of it was mediocre, but the good was really, really good. HtTT: 9.5/10. Great album. A great mix of Kid A/Amnesiac and OK Computer. Can't get 10/10 because "A Punchup At the Wedding" goes nowhere. |
