Lacuna Coil is indeed a great band. You are making the right decision in looking deeper.
I recommend you check out their album In a Reverie. From this album, my favorite songs are: - My Wings - To Myself I Turned - Veins of Glass - Falling Again Other good songs from different albums are: - When a Dead Man Walks (Unleashed Memories) - The Prophet Said (Comalies)

Well, I like Evanescence, so if you say that, Mantus, then I must like them. And I have Veins of Glass and When a Dead Man Walks, Nefir, both good, thanks for the recommendations and I'll work on some more.

I downloaded a couple of songs a while ago (last time they came up on TFP). Do they all have that angry guy growling on them? I like everything else about the group, but find him to be REALLY distracting.

Lacuna Coil is the shit.. I actually was introduced to them due to the craze Evanescence created when they came out about a year ago. Downloaded a few songs, then shortly after bought all of their CD's. Good stuff, hopefully they'll hit the states again soon as i'd love to seem them live. Christina Scabba.. enough said..
Another band I was introduced to at the same time is The Gathering.. They've evolved quite a bit with each CD and I like where they're headed as well. |

I know this is an old thread. But I just recently heard Lacuna Coil today. I saw Resident Evil Apocalypse. The song Swamped off of Comalies is on the sound track. This song rocks! I like both vocals by the male and female. I've listened to Evanescence, but I only like one song from them. This is kind of sad, their last release was Comalies in 2002. I mean sad as in I'm only recently finding out about this band. They released a limited edition box set of Comalies this year. I have to look into this band and listen to their older stuff. I hope they are still together and release new stuff.

Lacuna Coil is awesome. I saw them w/ P.O.D., Blindside, and Hazen Street (all of whom have great albums, and do great live performances). I hadn't heard of them before, but I started to get into them after that. All of their stuff is cool.

I just saw an advertisement for their new CD in Guitar Player magazine. There was a quote that said something like "If you like Evanescence, you'll love Lacuna Coil". It's a shame that they came out first but are being advertised like a new band coping someone elses sound. Evanescence should be compared to Lacuna Coil, not the other way around. Oh well, that's the biz.

Listening to "Heaven's a lie". I know, it took long enough. This really is a good band. Time to search for more...

If you like Lacuna Coil, you may want to check out Tristania, they are a great band. Opus Relinque would be a great song to check out first.
Although, you probably won't like them if you can't stand growling.
