Does anyone listen to Zydeco?
In class the other day my professor and a student got into a small discussion regarding Cajun music. That eventually led to a mention of Zydeco.
I know very little about Zydeco, aside from the fact that it is a "type" of music, and not a band name. I'd really like to experience this new music (to me), and was wondering if anyone here could recommend some of the better Zydeco bands/groups? Also, can anyone tell me a little about this type of music? I'm 100% new to it, and would like to learn a little about it, and also listen to some of its tunes. Thanks and take care.

Check out Buckwheat Zydeco and Clifton Chenier
Zydeco is sorta like Swing music with an accordian. It seems they're all written in major keys making it very upbeat music. It's celebratory music really.
