Ebow
Just got an ebow for my birthday. I have gone through all the stuff on the instructional tape that came with it, have downloaded a load of stuff with ebows in and tried coupling it with a dsp, but I'm still looking for more ideas. Anyone else got one? Any tips?

I look at the ebow as a way to come up with sounds that you would hear from keyboards or horns. Another way to use it is to back up some traditional guitar parts. For instance when my band plays Cream's White Room, I back up the opening part (the one with the bolero back beat) with the ebow. Also, listen to the band Collective Soul. Their ex guitarsist Ross Childress used one quite a bit. Hope this helps.
BTW, what doe your rig consist of? |
