new blink cd
so, the new blink-182 album is finally out, and i like it a lot. it's a lot like boxcar racer's music, and VERY different from the "old" blink. they've definatley matured a lot since thier last album.
also, does anyone know who sings track 12, it doesn't sound like mark or tom. who likes the cd, who hates it, and why?

That's Robert Smith of the Cure who is singing lead on "All of This".
I'm not a Blink fan by any means, but I'm kinda digging this album...especially "All of This", which is a hell of a track in its own right. Lets hope this is the path that Blink is headed so that they can separate themselves from most of the lame mainstream bands that they're lumped with...Sum 41, Linkin Park, Hoobastank, etc. |

Yeah, blink has been my favorite band for a long time and I am very impressed with the new CD. Could've done without the Fallen Interlude, and it would have been nice to hear mark sing a little more (tom really dominated the record). Other than that though, I love it. Favorite track is I Miss You (which is also the next single).

I Miss You and All of This are two very great songs. Especially coming from Blink. And I for one am very happy with all of Tom's singing, it's so....i dunno, I just like it I guess.

i agree, i like tom's voice a lot more than mark's for some odd reason (it sets thier band apart from the usual "punk" sound.") Go, I think, is a really good song. I like all of thier slower songs too, but Go is just so upbeat, it puts me in a good mood!

I also prefer Tom's voice to Mark's, but it seems that this record was more in Tom's control after the whole Box Car Racer thing. This may sound weird, but I think the reason Tom's voice is so appealing is that it's so crappy. He really doesn't have a good voice, listen to anything they've played live. Also, did anyone notice that mark did a lot of low singing on this cd, which he's never really done before?

Matured is the way to describe it. I actually never expected them to put out an album like this. I've always like their songs, but never took them seriously (too much goofing off, their videos helped cement this idea). This album goes a long way to changing my mind about them.

I NEVER thought that they would have the maturity to make an album like this one. I thought that they would always stay the same. Singing songs that all sounded basically alike, and acting like teenage boys, but this album really suprised me. I guess that change is good. Thier music can change, I just hope that thier personalities don't...they're soo amusing to watch sometimes!
