I would probably say it's easily possible. Although Zappa was never really mainstream, he was a musical genius. He was also very in tune with politics. I always thought he was a burn out simply because alot of the burnouts I knew in college listened to his music, but au contrare! I couldn't believe the political knowledge he had in an interview I saw with him. He was also way ahead of his time as far writing orchestra score to go with his music. In the same interview I saw, he was conducting an orchestra in a studio to back up his new album. It's a shame that he's gone, because I'm sure he'd at least double that figure.

If I recall correctly, he not only wasn't a burnout, he'd kick people out of his band for smoking pot. If you think about it, there's no way you could get those charts right if you were high.
