Fave Canadian Bands
Hey y'all. Lately a lot of rock bands have come on to the US scene with some major hits. Sum 41, Nickelback, Default, Avril Lavigne, etc...and I must say I love em all. Just wanted to hear your guys' thoughts on the matter. Any Canadian fans out there?

Not only Rush, but how about:
Triumph April Wine Loverboy Barenaked Ladies Heart (kinda. They are from Seattle, but got their start in Canada) And the best... Bob & Doug McKenzie "Take off, to the Great White North." Hey, it had Geddy Lee in it.

The Tragically Hip are pretty much the quintessential Canadian band. Although I've pretty much given up on them based on the weak and generic albums they've released over the past 8 or so years. Fully Completely and Up To Here are a couple of the finest albums released by a Canadian group in the past 15 years. Edit, Averett beat me to posting The Hip and I had forgotten about the Headstones (They're both from Kingston, which probably makes it the rockingest town in Canada) Last edited by rockzilla; 11-23-2003 at 04:56 PM.. |
