Taj Mahal recommendation
I just got a great new cd that I wanted to tell people about. It is Taj Mahal: The Real Thing. You can find it in the blues section of your record store under Taj Mahal's name. Taj is a blues singer and this album is recording of a concert from the Filmore East in 1971. It really rocks! You can tell how much fun the guys on stage are having, and it is contagious! One of the guys playing on this disc is teaching a class I am in. Enjoy!

I really haven't gotten around to him yet. I went digging through Blues history all summer, so now its time to get into some more modern Blues artists. I will definitely move him up my list of music to buy. I've loved what I have heard by him. Do you have any more recommendations for modern (or at least living) Blues artists?
I love R.L. Burnside, his live stuff more than the "blues-techno" stuff. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sorry Conclamo, I don't know my blues very well yet. I am just recommending this CD based on my own enjoyment. I can tell you that the musicians playing on it are at the top of their profession though. I will definitely be adding more Taj Mahal to my recording collection very soon! Who other than Burnside have you been enjoying?
