What color should I paint my car?
 

Well this spring i'm thinking about getting all the body work and paint done. I should be able to get it done for a reasonable price if I do all the pain in the ass work. I'm option to all options. The interior will be converted to black.

Sonic Blue like on the 99-04 GTs. Love that color.

I say a bright red would be sweet, otherwise a blue would be nice. Black always works along with white.

My top reccomendations:
1. candy grey (yeah, it's a color) with midnight blue flames
2. black with silver accents
3. Porsche "Guards" red
4. Pepsi blue metal finish (kinda 80s, but then again, your car is kinda 80s)

Gunmetal Grey or Black. Can't go wrong with either of those.

Neon!
Canary Yellow!
Blaze Orange!

You could try a black with red accents, darker blue of some sort, overall red just gets overdone....you've put a lot of work into the car, it should stand out :D

If you're going to be lifting the lid quite a bit (engine is light blue in some parts) you might want to match it up with that somehow...so maybe black is the best bet..

I definitely wouldn't go for red though :(

I say blue with the hood (the black part) painted white.

I have always thought that white with black accents looks good on those cars

I'll second that one. And the plus side is white doesn't draw as much attention as some of the brighter colors. It makes for a much easier time blending in when you forget how fast you're going because it's so much fun.

Anything but yellow. Ugh.

The colour america has killed

well first thing we're going to do to this ride is chrome it, 'cause thats just phat dawg. All the west coast hotties love a good chrome job. Next we'll be dropping some LXJ Three-Piece Chromes Out 18's up on this pimpmobile. Truly phatastic, aight?

Yes kill that show. They do to many stupid things to these peoples cars....liike who needs a TV and video game in there truck bed (sorry rant)

I have some idea's already for color, my friend has a 1978 Ford Truck that is painted a awesome metallic blue, I might paint it like that, i'll take a pic so you guys can see the color.

Yeah I hate pimp my ride, its just a same that they don't do anything cool to the engine or suspension. I bet if they redid my mustang they would make it so damn stupid, now overhaulin theres a show I like!

Oh ya and I said Met Blue :D

I love Overhaulin I want them to do my van they would have a blast with it :thumbsup:

Long Beach Blue Pearl...came on Acrua NSX's...its a very nice color.

That wouldnt look bad to be honest.
I wouldnt go red, (i hate red personally) and after awhile it will fade.
Erm Black (i am mad about black)
Purple with black tinge...I would go that.......okay so it would be a dark purple. Love purple, I am female though.
erm boys car, boys colour...........ummmmm Dark Green, or lime green.
Blue would work too..

I'd say a nice dark metallic blue or black with a double racing stripe.

I'm with Stare At The Sun: Gunmetal Grey or if your blue is dark enough - that could look really cool.

Not that I recomend it, but there's a car that parks near me which is painted in one of those two tone pearlescent jobs - as it goes past it seems to change colour, but it's GROSS!

Green. If you can find a nice metallic green it'll look real nice. But, it can be hard to find a nice metallic green, so I'm going to say orange with black accents. If you're not a fan of orange, black. Jet black. Darkest black you can possibly get.

Red or black.

Canary Yellow is actually very popular color when choosing on an impulse. Over just a little time the impulse is gone and the attraction to the color fades just as quickly. I say paint it black or charcoal with a good clear coat finish. Although you might want to consider changing the interior color if you went with black. So maybe black is out of the question if you’re not going to change the interior. But really if it is a good paint job, any color goes well on a ‘stang, just don’t get those candy / nail polish colors please for all that is good and holy.

And Pimp My Ride, well.. I've noticed they do the same thing to every single goddamn car. It doesn't matter what you're driving, they'll find a place to stick a pair of 10" monitors and put a pair of woofers in your trunk, give it an ugly-ass paint job and some goofy looking rims. There's every episode summed up.

I think you should go for bright yellow or white, with the black stripe/stripes on the hood and the roof, and maybe on the skirting underneath, if that's what it's called.

Either my old idea or go for a oil slick black and put a ground effects kit on it..... Not a ugly kit just a small skirt one!

Thanks you guys for the ideas, for just this summer i'll probably paint it black at work (since we paint propellors) and tint the windows and paint my rims black, so go for a mean "gothic look" Rylss I love that pic!
