Post your car!
Guess we need to restart some of the old threads. So here's mine:
http://krycheck.iceware.net/krysmbz.jpg My C280 that i got for a song at the dealer I work at. Trade ins are a bargain :D |

This is my 1997 Ford Ranger. Yes, it's a truck, but barely. I like it though, it's cool when I have to haul stuff or go fishing or something. |
|
This is my spoiled old car, 3800 V6, stock 165HP, 220 ft-lbs torque. I modded the exhaust and use performance plugs and wire. Added tints and remote starter.
Not bad for an 89...I love my Bonnevilles. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/regist...oto.php?id=132 |
|
I don't have a pic right now, but I will after it get's washed up. I should have a pic sometime next week.
|
This isn't my car in the pic, but it is exactly like it minus the bra.

Wow, you all have sweet rides!
I did have a car, then a truck totalled it, so now I am between cars... When I do get a car, I will try to get a pic of it online and share it here. PiercedLip: That car looks really nice, did you put a lot of money into it aside from the purchase price? |

What's with the "Type LT" badge? That's something I've not seen before. I'm just curious on that one. Anyways, here's my cars:
My 1997 Olds Cutlass Supreme 4-door, 3100 V6(the pic is a little over two years old, and as a bonus, you get a pic of me!) http://skillz524.homestead.com/files/97Olds.JPG 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix 2-door, 3.4 DOHC, A/T http://skillz524.homestead.com/files/Cars/1992_GP.bmp |

LT = Luxury Touring.
It had the luxury interior But with the Z/28 engine/suspension etc. |
SLM3.......I'm mad jealous!! I'm a huge fan of European cars, and if I could afford a bimmer it would definately be the M3!! You car is tight bro
|
Hey, SLM3; ill trade ya! My baby. Formerly my moms baby. (copy/paste url and add .orig.jpg to see full size)
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...5/fc7cb093.jpg |
Thanks for the compliments guys! I've had the car since new and really there's nothing I'd realistically trade it for. I've driven SL55's, Porsche 911's, etc and really nothing really combines awesome performance and luxury like this car. I drove the new M3 and it really didn't do it for me like the E36 does.
Calcartman, estoril blue is an awesome colour for the M3! It was the most popular choice for the E36 M3. I guess I've just got a thing for black cars. I haven't done much to her, just yet. Put the clear indicators on right away, and last summer I put in the Euro headlights. The improvement over the stock lighting is amazing. It's really the most potent 240hp I've ever used, so I'm gonna stay away from the engine. If I put more money into her then it's going to go into the suspension. Don't get me wrong, this car handles BRILLIANTLY right outta the box but I wouldn't mind reducing body roll a little. You guys should check out my site, Movin2Fast - An Online Hub for Car Discussion, there's a lot more pictures there of my car and some of the other sweet cars I've had access to over the last few years. SLM3 |
That acura is looking pretty clean. Nice!
240sx here. Mind you, gonna be sold within a month. |
Here is my caddy. 1987 Sedan Deville
I bought it for $1500 with a bad engine and dumped in a new high performance jasper engine for $3000. I currently installed a 5 inch screen and have a blaupunkt dvd/mp3 player in it. It has only seen 2 winters in it's lifetime. http://www.airstreamcomm.net/~merker/car1.jpg http://www.airstreamcomm.net/~merker/car2.jpg Yeah yeah I know my hood ornament is missing...god damn loser thieves Hey BonneFan I love the late 80's cars with the 3.8's in them...my brother has a 89 lesabre....it's fast...easy to work on and reliable as hell :) |
Thanks Merker...ya, those 3.8L V6s are bulletproof, one of the best North American engines ever built
Good looking Caddy to, classic car! ;) |
SLM3; I would love a black one too. But my mom got it and she had a thing for estoril blue. And i agree with ya on all counts; The engine is amazing. I love the clear corners; I think the orange stock ones dont look all that great. The only thing im ever going to do to the car is add exhaust cause the stock one is very restrictive, A few suspension bits, and maybe some weight redux.
|
nice shine on the caddy there merker.. wonder where ya got that nice zaino wax..lol
|
I dont have a scanner so i cant post a pic. I have a 2002 Camaro SS with all SLP options with 12,000 miles. Really fun car, too bad they dont make them anymore.

Let's see if I can get this to work...

Love to see the BMWs and the Benzs. Once I get a pic of my car, I'll post. It's basically the same as <b>Boners</b>. A silver '98 Ford Mustang GT. Even though it has the slowest 4.6L, it still has potential!!

mah car
Here are pics of my car on the day I picked it up. It is #566 of around 1000. I wish the scanner I used was not so crappy, it really kinda makes these pictures look bad.

a1t3r3g0: Thanks I like the new look but its definitely the power that sold me. As for the turbo its gonna be a long project. I have been debating the size but like I said the computer(and the transmission) will be the real test of what I can do. Hopefully in the upcomming summers my car is going to be going through an overhaul so to speak. Plans for future: Cobra 4 valve engine 800 RWHP turbo from Turbo driven concepts A nitrous kit of some sort Bigger brakes Hopefully put 20x10's on in the back :) Need to find a company that makes quality roll cages for mustangs. Want to ditch the rear bumper and and muffler and go with the S351 or S281-E bumper so I can have the dual center tailpipes Bullet proof all of the engine/driveline/...everything, so it won't break down under the tremendous amount of hp/torque. I want to be able to pull over 1000 horses and torque. Oh, that would be awesome. Upgrade my stereo system. (Have the mach 460 sound system, and it's alright, but...it could be better.) I want to drop in some sparco (probably) racing seats with 5 point harnesses, and have them custom ahpolstered (sp?) with a special logo that I design. New tranny, clutch, shifter. New front bumper, and trunk lid. (small accidents) Thought about the possibility of gullwing doors, or some sort of different door hinge. But I can't quite decide how that would look. For the most part, I am pretty much a car n00b, and don't have a whole lot of technical car knowledge. If you couldn't already tell. But I do like them a whole bunch :). If anyone has any tips/questions/comments feel free to let me know what you think, I am all ears. |

Mighty Mouse: I am not trying to shoot anybody down but I think its gonna cost a ton first off to pull this off(not to mention the knowledge it will take just to stop the engine from exploding) but ill break it down like this. There are many formula 1 race cars that dont even have that much horsepower, he wont even have to give it full throttle to make the car do a back flip, even at light throttle it will be loud enough to get the cops called. Now I am not gonna say he cant do it but ill tell you its going to take a lot of know ho to stop him from killing himself in it.
|
Aaah....
I just wondered how any of the stuff he planned made it not street legal. There is no reason you can't run a 1000hp V8 on the street. Oh, and I'd be really really REALLY surprised if it backflipped. But, yes, I do agree he needs know work up to driving a 1000hp car. |
Quote:
And also, this will be done in stages, for one thing, I don't have the money to do it all at once. Hell, I don't have the money to do any of it right now, those were just my plans. Granted the next step is the new engine which puts out around 400 horses i believe. My car puts out 283 rwhp right now. (not dyno'd just specs from saleen.) |
First VW posted!

The blue one also a commodore but it is called a HSV Clubsport they are modified by a company called Holden Special Vehicals sort of like saleen , it is also a 5ltv8 rear wheel drive , 5sp but it has about 300 rwhp cheers mark |

Strife: The reason I brought up street legality is because I remember reading somewhere that 830HP was the limit but now I cant find it and I was told on another forum that it depends on what state your in. I want to emphasize though I am not shooting down your idea I am currently working on a turbo right now for my Hemi which will hopefully bring it from 345hp to 600-680HP.
Mighty Mouse: I think if he runs regular radials there wil be less of a chance of him flipping but if he has on slicks I think it would be nuts to not have a wheelie bar. And with legality I guess it either depends on his state or wheter he decides to run straight headers. If he runs straight headers I have no doubt he will break noise code and emissions is another state sometimes city variable for legality. |
Huh, yeah even on slick I doubt it. 950hp in a Nova on slicks will run 8's without wheelie bars. I think a 1000hp daily driver is a very good idea. I won't have to wait for his slow ass to get on the freeway. As for open headers, my cousin's dinky 289 running open headers was over noise restrictions. I naturally assumed he would run full exhaust and have 1000hp.
|
rununununununununun!!!!
The cool thing about the turbo I want to put in, is that it has a 'wastegate '. And if I understand that correctly, I am able to dial in how much boost i want whenever I want, so I won't always be running with 1000hp. And that 1000 also includes nitrous.
I was giving some friends a ride one night, and the car was definately heavy, there was probably around 700 lbs of people in my car. And we were cruising on the highway, and this 3rd gen rx7 ( i think, whatever the newest generation is) kept egging me on and we would drive neck and neck for awhile, then I said, ok, (trying to show off some), let's go. I floor it and the last time I looked at the speedo we were doing 125mph, then the rx7 passes me like I was standing still. That sucked. So, imho, you can never have too much power :) If you want to check out the turbo yourself that I am thinking about: Turbo Driven Concepts That's where it's at. Oh, and I live in IL, and I would plan on running street radials. Probably the pirellis that are on there right now. |
Those are cool little kits. Have to show those to my cousin, he's thinking of going supercharger, but I'm still trying to show him the benefits of a turbo. You need to keep us updated on the car. I want to see vids.
|
You bet :) But sadly, none of this is going to get done anytime soon, unless I run into an ass load of money somehow... AND, seeing as how I will be working up at school this summer, I won't have my car up here :( So its going to be at home in the garage. Tis sad really.

I have to say, strifes car kicks ass. It damn fast, and does have quite the good acceleration to it unlike he says. ive ridden in it, and damn the handling is the best part i do have to say. being able to do 70 on cloverleaf on/off ramps is the best part. And buzzing around town, showing it off is mighty fun too. Love the car strife. Add those pics i took, there damn good ones, but again they may not look as clear because of the damn scanner, but defineltly cool. Now im used to driving the Red Rocket A.K.A 1993 Ford Explorer, which i might add still has some balls left if i treat it right and give it some loving. But you'll have to wait and see those pics once i get them. im ridin on 16's baby now thats Gangsta!! haha love the Red Rocket. oh oh and i also forgot to add im runnin 2 12' subs in the the back that kick ass if i may say so. ok ok, last thing to i promise, and yes strifes speedometer does say 200 ooohhhh thats so sweet

Where to start...
1000 rwhp in a Saleen Mustang? You're out of your mind. It would cost you in the range of $30-50,000 to even think about getting that. By the time you were done, even if you did do this, it would barely be a Saleen Mustang anymore. You'd have to engine swap, because a normal V8 couldn't possibly put out that much horse without you blowing it. 1000HP daily driver? Not where I live. I'm in California, and that's completely illegal. With 1000HP you'd HAVE to run slicks, you'd HAVE to have wheelie bars, and you'd never get away with driving that here. You'd have to cage the entire car, engine bay and all, you'd have to reinforce the chassy, drivetrain, and frame. The car would be so incredibly loud you'd break every sound law there is. I go to the local drags occasionally, and trust me, cars that are running 9's and 10's don't have your everyday V8's. It's not plausable or even practical to have a 1000HP daily driver. Some alcohol engines don't put out that much. Good luck sir. Also, who's "Integra Type-R" is that? Reason I say it like that is because everyone and their brother has an integra here, slaps Type-R stickers on it, Type-R badges and thinks it makes it a Type-R. Show me your engine ;P Now, here's my car. http://idump.resistance-resonator.co...s/mycaromg.jpg 1969 Chevrolet Nova - Purchased for $2200 2 months ago Interior is brand new. Just bought a new radiator, currently running a Straight 6 250ci Chevy engine with a 2 speed Powerglide trans. It'll be up and running monday when I get a new coolant line (had to cut the old one to get the old radiator out) Future Plans : Chevy Small Block 350ci 350HP Crate Engine 350 Trans Ford 9 Rear Possibly a supercharger Reinforced chassy/drivetrain Cage Disconnect rear brakes Front disc brakes PAINT! Yes, it'll be a dragster. By the time I even think about this i'll be buying a POS $500 daily driver. |
god i love those Subaru's
