Dodge Daytona...just junk?

hmmm, I thought some of those Dodge Daytonas were kinda cool, especially the turbocharged ones.

We have one of those shredders in Phila. and you can see it if you are lucky enough to land at our airport and take the road north toward downtown via I-76; the shredder has been there quite a few years and I suppose the shreds are easier to deal with than larger parts.

On a related note, did you even see that T-Rex-type Robosaurus dude that eats cars? ...usually at car/truck shows of various sorts. The hell with Geritol, no iron poor blood in this guy:

Having owned the Chrysler Laser (not to be confused with the Plymouth Laser), I can wholeheartedly say that they are indeed junk. The only good thing about the turbo models is that you can pull the engine and drop it into an Omni or Aries and have one helluva sleeper when you hit the track. I was unlucky enough to have the ones that came with a digital dashboard and it wouldn't shut up about the washer fluid being low. Talking cars were cool back in 1984, I guess.

As far as im concerned all dodge cars are junk. The trucks are not bad but the cars are pure trash. They should all be used to be crushed in auto exhibitions sacrafice a dodge before every race or autoshow to let the car gods know your worthy.

As long as it didn't have a turbo, its ok lol.

5 thing went threw my mind during that video:

1. Lawl, my grandpa used to have a turbo daytona, it was pretty damn quick
2. I hope that one wasn't a turbo
3. I've seen that car monster thing that blows fire in person 3 times
4. I bet if you fell into one of those car grinders, it wouldn't even make a noise
5. Do those grind wheels self-correct? Or is someone controlling the way the wheels spin?

Then Dodge actually produced them for the street with an IROC badge.

the only thing that I found interesting about that IROC daytona was that it showcased the idea that it's the driver and not the machinery. Watching the IROC Camaros then the same drivers in the IROC Daytonas you could just know that if you put them all in Toyota Corollas who'd be at the front of the pack.
