Anyone wants to buy General Lee?
It's going on eBay right now for over $2 million.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...WDVWQQtcZphoto With 53 bids, I must say this car is quite popular. ;) |
Nice and original with a crate engine swapped in ten years ago and a bunch of fucking stickers on it
|
Stickers can be removed, and the more powerful engine only adds to the car, imo.
|
wow, old junk selling for 100 times what its worth. I guess it doesnt matter when you have that much money.
|
I'd just end up painting it red white and blue and call it the General Ulysses S. Grant, add a blower so it could dust other stock General Lees.
I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy.... |
2 mil, i think thats abit too much for this car. But, i guess if you really want it, would pay anything for it.... Always liked the General Lee, but decided to get mself the toy version ;)

The dodge charger is a pretty good car. In my opinion that car, is better than the mustang, but not as good as a Torino. J/k How big did it say the engine was again? I would also think that it would be more for collectability than for actual everyday use, although it would be cool to pull up somewhere with a big crowd, with that car. I imagine it would have many stares from the crowd.

Bah... it could be a Pinto - the type of car is irrelevent. It's the Duke of Hazard notoriety that's driven the price up so high.
Whomever buys it won't be cruisin to Safeway to get milk, it'll go in some rich collectors garage along with other notable cars. It's a collectors item - that's all... people pay out the nose for baseball cards... no different. |
I have to agree with Twizted.
One fact I can state though: Even if I was to win the lottery tomorrow, I would not be the buyer of this car. I like the car enough but $2 Mil will buy a lot of cars without such a background. |
If I had 2 mil to spend on trasportation, I would buy a REALLY nice boat instead of a car...just my opinion.
|
$9,900,500.00 winning bid. Woah! Somebody wanted that one really bad.
