Spring is here and I'm having intake/headers/exhaust installed on my NSX on Monday. These are my first mods to the car after 2 years so I'm quite excited about it. :D

Anyone else got any new goodies planned for soon?

That thing is going to sound beautiful after that I bet.

I'm planning on getting some new Koni rear shocks, a new heater core, and possibly new glass for my 67 Cougar to make it a nice daily driver.

I know it is not glamorous but a new Heavy Duty 5 speed transmission built by Marlin Crawler for my truck. It will be nice to have 5th gear again.:thumbsup:

Actually, those are facsimiles. The real stuff and deals aren't online. My intake is actually ram air (not installed yet), custom ceramic headers are being machined down south by a friend, but the exhaust is about right (I might be ordering it in the next month or two). Right now I'm stock and obviously drooling. Heh.

I've got a Garrett T3 I've been rebuilding for my '77 Fiat 124 Spider. I'm custom making the intake and exhaust myself.

on a serious note, if I had money, I would have the Stage 2 Turbo kit put on my SRT-4.....but until now, it's bone-stock. I may stick a Blow-off Valve on there just to turn heads at work.

How can you call an SRT-4 bone stock? Those things are awesome. Turbocharged 2.4L i4 putting out 215 whp with a 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds (only .2 seconds slower than a Porsche Caymen S).

If it comes from the factory that way, it's bone stock.

If I get this today, the first thing getting replaced is the exhaust. Probably by the end of the day.

Yeah, but they're still bone stock, just like a McLaren F1 is bone stock until you modify it ;)

My mod list is a little more pedestrian. I want to slap a big ol' nasty turbo on it, but I'm gonna have the leather redone and get a new stereo instead. *sigh*.

Well you guys have nice cars ...I love the NSX, a '67 Cougar is an awesome car I can't believe you'll daily drive such a classic, trucks are cool I wish I had one to tow my car to the track and lug around all the junk I seem to have to move so often, those SRT-4's are hot little rockets, I don't know what willravel has, I talked my cousin into buying a Fiat 124 Spider in '71 since I like them, though I can hardly imagine one turbocharged, and if I had invested in some Rustoleum my '89 Acura Legend would still have most of the rear fenders intact instead of ragged holes.


I just picked up my money pit ....errrr I mean Supra ;) with a couple new things on it. Don't get me wrong, I really love the car but I have very little self-control toward moding it, some but very little. If I didn't have family responsibilities, I'd blow another $10,000 or $15,000 on it this week ....when I was in elementary school, I usually got all A's except for C or D in "self-control" which was actually on our report cards ....Catholic parochial school in case you can't figure that one out.

So this round I had a larger intercooler installed, this is a full front-mount now since my stock side-mount intercooler was just not up to cooling the charge air from 500whp to 600whp depending on how much boost I run (that's a range of from about 18 psi to 28 psi); I didn't buy a FMIC "kit" so I had custom pipes made for a nice fit; since I had to move the stock power steering cooler lines I had a separate power steering cooler installed; plus a nice Defi Link BF gauge to keep an eye on my oil temp (more gauges will follow); then I had a dyno tune done for my MAP ECU fuel controller. On May 5th I'm doing a track day at Pocono Raceway on the East Course roadcourse setup so we'll see how it works and what else I need to do next :) Figure this last round of stuff is over a couple grand right there.

Dang, you guys have all sorts of good rides. As for me, there really isn't much that can be done, or is worth doing to my '98 Malibu. The only thing I've got on tap in a couple of weeks is a good thorough top to bottom detailing since I haven't kept up on it this winter.

Immediately, you can do ins and outs (cold air intake, headers and a cat back system) for reasonable hp gain and a better flowing system. There are chips made for any and every vehicle, so that'd be good (usually hp, torqu gain, plus no more top speed limiter). If you want to go balls in, you can throw in a supercharger.

Upgrading the turbo on my Grand National again as well, and considering building the motor...

Blasphemy. If they call that piece of shit NSX, I will sell mine and never buy another Honda product in my life.

But I am confident they'll call it something else, if it gets made at all. There has been a LOT of talk among NSX owners (as you might imagine) and we are almost unanimous in our hate for the idea of a front-engine car being tagged as the successor to the NSX.

it's highly doubtful that they'll call that "piece of shit" an NSX. But even if they do, giving up a great car for some sort of revenge that won't hurt Honda in the least is kinda silly don't you think?

They said, "here ya go guys, this is the HSC and it is the concept to replace the NSX". We loved it. It's mid engined and even though they didn't say so, we dreamed that it would be hand built of exotic materials and compete with Gallardos and F-360s for half the price. It would be like 1991 all over again.

Then they said it'll have a high revving V10 and we got even more excited.

Then came the rumors that it would be front engined and built of conventional materials. Not so excited.

Then the ASCC. You can imagine our lack of glee. It might be fast as hell, but it looks like a clown shoe and seems clearly aimed to compete with Bently and Jaguar and AM, not Ferrari or Lamborghini.

It might be a great car, I just wish they'd quit calling it the successor to the NSX.

Now that I came back from a track day last weekend and saw my oil temps a tad higher than I want, I'll be adding a remote oil filter setup and an oil cooler.

Nice money pit you got there BadNick. That Supra is a hell of a platform.

I'm not a big fan of NSX body kits like that yellow one, but to each his own. One thing is for sure, if it really has 600 HP, it cost 10's of thousands of dollars to get there. Serious turbo systems for our cars run about $15K (not including install and tune) and up. I won't be getting that anytime soon! :)

I just sold one car and bought another. I'll find more mods, but I already have an HKS blow off valve, Greddy turbo timer, Eibach coil springs, Tokico shocks, full and Apex'i exhaust system. Muuhahhahaha.

Had me worried there. But if you ever do decide that Honda is too embarrassing to own, gimme a shout. I'll be happy to take that embarassing thing off your hands for ya ;)

I got new rockers and fuel injectors for my Olds. Got 'em installed over the winter, and will try to race it in the next couple months again.

Does a new car count? I'm taking delivery of a Montego-Blue BMW 118i w/ M-suspension and black 18" sport wheels - in June! I'm dying here, having been without wheels since I got back to Denmark, from Africa, in January.

to some of us "car guys" a nice new car like that is practically the ultimate new toy. Sounds great, good luck with it. I don't think they sell that model in the U.S., probably too efficient and practical for US.

I'll join in your party though, since just yesterday I got a new car, too. It's a 2007 RAV4 LTD, 4WD, V6, leather, JBL, tow pkg in "classic silver". I really like it and my boys and I are looking forward to driving it many miles down the beach on Assateague Island in a few weeks since we've never had a sand worthy 4WD and have been limited to the paved roads until now, we'll do some surf fishing. Are you out of your mind? First, the provided articles clearly state that the new "NSX" will be mid engined so you should rein yourself in there, and second, most would consider the introduction of a V10 to a car that has always been woefully outgunned by it's competetion to be a good thing. Also, for a car that has managed to stay sort-of competetive because of its exceptional chassis and handling, you'd think the 4wd would be applauded.

Where does anything state the new NSX will be mid engined? Everything I've seen in the last couple years (and trust me, I follow this news) says no. Certainly the clown shoe car in that picture isn't mid engined.

You're looking at the long-awaited successor to Honda's NSX. After years of on-off speculation, we will finally see the new supercar in thinly veiled concept guise next month.

The company says this low-slung coupe 'provides a glimpse of the next-generation Acura exotic sports car' - but insiders openly talk of this being the new NSX.

Acura is Honda's American luxury brand (think Honda's Lexus) and the Advanced Sports Car Concept will be shown at the Detroit Motor Show on 7 January.

No more details are available at this stage, but we do know that Honda boss Takeo Fukui will whisk the covers off. CAR Online understands the new model will remain mid-engined - a high-revving V10 is rumoured - and will be a GT-style supercar.

This teaser image reveals a squat supercar whose long rear deck confirms a mid-engined layout. Powerfully sculpted haunches and quad exhausts lend the car a purposeful poise.

Honda has sold around 5000 NSX models in the UK since its launch in 1990, and the car only went off sale last year. The US was the car's biggest market.

Okay which is it, mid-engined or GT-style? It can't be both. I think someone was just making shit up when they published that "quote".

All you have to do is look at the car to see the truth. The engine is in front of the driver.

Several articles cites the obvious extended rear deck as "truth" that the new NSX would be mid engined. As far as I know GT has nothing to do with engine layout. That's why Ferrari has had mid engined GT's (F50) Porche has a mid engined GT, and even Ford has had a couple mid engined GT's. Didn't the NSX team recently win on the Japan GT circuit?

Well Ilow I would just say that I hope you are right. We are obviously looking at different sources and the truth will remain unknown until there's an official announcement. Time will tell.
