Got a project you are working on?

Care to share? Deltona and I had talked a while back about our jeeps and I said I'd post some pics of the project. Well, I finally got around to it!

The boss and I have almost got this '93 Jeep Wrangler up to par. Many adjustments have been done. The main one was the drive shaft in it. Seems the former owner wanted it to be more of a rock crawler. He even kept the old drive shaft and we had it replaced with that one.

Then there were the tires and rims. We put the tires on the boss' chevy on the jeep and purchased the rims for this one. There are new shocks and also the lift that we did to make it balance. I forget what that thingy is in the front (it's gold right now) that is below the front bumper. Anyway, that is new.

We had a chrome grill cover added and we just put on the gun metal hoodset this week. Gun metal costs a little more but it's suppose to be rust resistant. Oh, and there are new seat covers on it. It's the material that skin divers use.

As I mentioned before it has a 350 chevy engine in it and I took pics of it so you can all see it. Under the hood the boss wants to have "The Vampire" painted on it. He feels like it has sucked all his hard earned money.

Other items that we want to add:

New top and the new rhino spray stuff added to the floor of it. It will be black like the top. We were going to have a different paint job but I kinda like it white. And we are thinking of having a custom made cooler/seat added to the back.

Okay guys/gals, post your hobby on here too!

Thanks Bobby.

Well, it seems pretty solid but I've not took any sharp curves going fast lately. However, I understand the power under the hood so I've been pretty careful.

You know, I've always heard that jeeps have the tendency to turn over. Even when we had our Cherokee, but we never experienced it. This is our 4th jeep over a 26 year period.

That's a very nice Jeep, congratulations for doing such a nice job on it. Looks very clean and business-like. Do you or will you be taking into mud or rock climbing or off-roading?

As for my "project", I just upgraded the turbo, fuel system, and a couple related items on my car. I'll have to get a few pics together and post them here in the next couple days ...I just don't even have the pics off my camera yet. I've mentioned it before here, but I have a '95 Supra twin-turbo 6 speed that I got over 6 years ago; until recently it was moded very simply just to allow safe operation up to 18 psi or so and a bit higher on racegas, plus I installed adjustable coilovers all around, lowered it a little and corner weighted it for good balance, and we did a slightly more aggressive than factory spec alignment = it handles fantastic with tons of grip; I dyno'd it like that a few years ago and it put down 430rwhp/455rwtq; I drive it on the street a lot and I also like to do a few high performance driving events each year on local road courses, Pocono usually and Watkins Glen when I can get up there for a weekend; only a very few cars I've ever run up against that can out handle, brake, or accelerate my "project" My new turbo is a little larger than the stock sequential twin setup combined, basically it's a modified 61mm turbo. I haven't dyo'd yet but based on proven results with my exact setup I expect somewhat over 500rwhp at low boost and on racegas at say 28psi it will put about 630rwhp to the ground; of course I have a full upgraded fuel system, new fuel rail, larger injectors, twin in-tank pumps, an advanced fuel control computer, etc; plus I installed a wideband O2 sensor/display to keep an eye on air/fuel ratio. It's very fun to drive and I drive it every chance I get ...like to work today. If it's nice weather out, I'm driving it. I'll see if I can get some pics of my engine work in process and what it looks like now.

Thanks BadNick. I'd love to see your BadRide. Hurry up on those pics, will ya? Sounds pretty dang hawt! And you have done WAAAAY more on yours than the boss and I.

I think it was suppose to be a rock crawler. However, the boss and I just wanted to have fun in it. You know, just cruise in the wind! Business-like? HA! That's what the boss said. He wanted it painted a bright color, but I think it looks "mean" with it white and a little black....with that chrome grill.

Muddin'? HA! By off chance over a month ago it did actually rain here and I drove it to the springs---river beds. I hit every mud hole I could find! The boss kept laughing at me because it has been a long time since I've gotten that muddy! I had more mud on me than the jeep when we got home! LOL! I loved it though. The boss said I really should act my age. But....what's the fun in THAT???

You are right about the weather though. That's what these jeeps are made for. However, living in Florida......it stays pretty nice all year round....most of the time.

Can't wait to see the pics of your BadRide. Post them soon BadNick.
