Shaving the chest
I know that there is a huge thread about shaving down below the belt but i was wondering if anyone knew some good tips on shaving your chest. I tried it one summer and kept getting razor burn and such other nasty side effects. I know the mach 3 is the best razor to use but what about good shaving creams, lotions, etc. I tried using nair too but it sucks, and i dont really wanna go get it waxed every week. Just seeing what the masses were doing that i was most likely doing wrong :)

I actually have had the same problem. So I don't have a lot to add, just also adding my voice to yours asking for the same advice.

i tried it too. nair sucked, cause it only took some of the hair off, but i then had to shave the other areas.

Try going to Rite_-Aid and try a product called Epil-Stop. It is basically Nair for men. It also have a hair inhibitor so the hair goes back finer and slower. Works for me.

Careful with Epil-Stop. My friend used it on his back and he broke out like no tomorrow!! It worked great, but it was terrible on his skin. I mentioned it to my mom who's an RN (registered nurse) and she sighed and said all the chemicals in those that eat away at the protein in the hair are really bad for skin. I'd do some research before I used any of that stuff. I too shaved once and got bad razor burn. Until then, I'll just tell the girls to take it or leave it! :D

don't have much hair on the chest .. so guess no need to shave ... tips hmmz, first taking a warm bath might help prevent razor burn
|
i usually do it in the shower, nice warm shower, plus i have soft hair so its not having to cut through a forest. but basically i just lather up with soap, and shave away, rinse away all the excess hair, and rinse off the razor alot. other than that i usually let conditioner from my hair run down and make my skin smooth, which i guess can smooth the hair. also i dont shave my chest everyday, just when its important, or long lol

well i dont have enough hair on my chest to shave it... just a little around the nipples... and i shaved that once... but they came back all ingrown and irritated so i started plucking em... theres really not much thick hair there so it works... and ariekitten enjoys sucking on them more so its worth it ... :-D

Shaving is no good. save the hairless chest till you need it and go get waxed. Lasts about two weeks and looks amazing and feels great.

29 years it took me to get that shag pile the way I liked it.
Along comes someone with different ideas and presto chango ..its gone. I am the proud possessor of a recently dehaired chest. Top Tip: Its lots more fun with help Equipment Used: • Mach 3 Turbo Blade • Gilette Gel (sensitive skin kind) • Bath / Shower • Scissors • Warm Water • Baby Oil Gel from Johnson and Johnson • 22 Year Old Austrian Get clean and start trimming. You can’t trim too much and believe me this process can take a while. Time spent trimming with the scissors is time well spent. Take off as much off as you can with the scissors (do try to stay fairly wet while you do that)...slather on some gel/foam ...don’t go nuts , you don't need that much. Now commit to it....a couple of nice long strokes will get you feeling confident. Try right up the middle first, just go for it. The detailed work can come later. Once you start making inroads you are well on your way. Rinse and Rinse again. (Cant overemphasise this , that hair will get in there (the blade), you really do need to rinse it properly) . Also do not let your chest get dry , more water or gel to keep you moist is a must. When you have done most of the big work you move to detail. Rub your hand across your chest a few times , different directions , up and down , side to side , you'll soon find the areas that need more attention by the tell tale stubble feel. Leave your nipples till last. Use a finger to cover your nipple and use outward or upward stokes to get rid of the pesky blighters. You'll be surprised by how rubbery nipples are , not as likely to get cut as anything else. I was having this done for the first time by someone else and she was simply going for it , terrified me but it worked out fine. Marvel at yourself in the mirror (and if you were anything like me ...you will marvel...it was a HUGE change) Now get ready for the bad stuff. After the first night its still great but slowly you will start getting stubble which will be oily and smelly and will itch like a sailors crotch . You’ll shower and change clothes three times a day and you will still get little spots and itchy patches. Nothing you can do ....... ...apart from shave again. This is the trick, and that’s where people will commonly fail, don’t get disheartened, stick with it and continue shaving it , soon your skin will get used to it . It worked for me :D Oh yeah the baby oil was applied after the shaving , supposedly to keep the moisture in or something , I’m not convinced it was necessary but I am telling you this , if you can ever include “rub oil into body” in anything that you do ….DO . |
I used nair, it worked great! I had some skin irriitation but thats about the best solution i have found so far. Waxing fucking sucked. It hurt like hell and didn't even get all the hair out. I would use nair but be careful around the nipple area, thats where it was irritated the most.
